Cabilis quest.

For those who have been in search of the recipe for a froglok tongue sandwich, a long standing unsolved quest in Cabilis, the new patch message says that the long elusive honey mush bread has been added to the Cabilis vendors.

*sigh* I'm at work and cannot be the first to make the new recipe. Good luck to those that can!

The honey mush bread is sold by Klok Bygle in the swamp of no hope.
I've had 1 sewer catfish in the bank on one of my alts since kunark came out. Tried to get the second one but 3 stacks of bait later I still don't have it (fishing 68 on the alt).

You'll have to do the combines seperately anyway. Thin Sliced Froglok Meat is lore, so to make two sandwiches you'll need one combine then at least the meat quest, maybe fish a second sewer catfish.

I've had no luck fishing one in Cabilis today.

I thought it has been a few months since ANYONE has been able to fish a sewer catfish, and much debate was had if they even existed anymore after VI "updated" the fishing tables....

So unless you have the sewer catfish, you wont have much luck getting one I don't think, as they seem to have been fished to extinction...

Agreed. I recently spent a day in Cabilis (both sides, fishing skill 200) and did not see a single catfish. Shabura (see post on the fishing forum) did the same yesterday and wrote up all the fish.

No sewer catfish.

what about the shrub lettuce?

I checked the supplies section AND the foraging section, but I didn't find any shrub lettuce. Lettuce I found a-plenty, but not shrub lettuce.

Without the shrub lettuce, the whole quest is still not do-able.

If someone has found it, please post it here.

Pretty sure I've seen shrub lettuce drop off man-eating shrubs in SoNH.

I looted 5 shrub lettuce today off man eating shrubs. Sewer catfish are still a no-show. Looks like in fixing the honey mush bread they broke the fishing tables.

I logged on this morning, got the thin-sliced froglok, bought a stack of honey mush, looted some lettuce, then after the amazing ease of all that, I threw a pole in the water. Many, many catches later there was no catfish. Thinking that it could be a skill-restricted catch, I logged another character with 200 fishing and went at it again. I ended up with the usual four (fresh, scales, dagger, sandal), 23(!!) different types of fetid bass including four separate catches all called Large Fetid Bass, and some Iksar Phalanges (looked like a dagger). All in all, I made probably 300 catches and no catfish in any of it.

After that I tried swimming through Cabilis killing all the baracudas thinking maybe they would drop it, but all they dropped were fresh fish, scales, and fangs. Leeches, scorpions, mosquitos, and skeletons in the sewers didn't drop it.

/sigh. I can't helping that the reward for all this is going to be Cloth Cap.

Shrub lettuce is nodrop and a fairly common but not 100% drop from Man Eating Shrubs in the Swamp of No Hope. They are around 10th level max perhaps.

where to get the sewercatfish

A friend and I spent a couple hours in FV fishing off the dock, in the underwater tunnel, and various other palces. I went to cabilis east and west. Tried in front of the tradeskill Kolks, near the zone (visible ranger in iksar city not good) and at the sewers near the Haggle Baron. So between the two of us spending a couple hours in FV and me spending 3 in one sitting no fish..not to mention the time I spent thinking it might be a race resticted fish so I made a iksar fisherman and sill no luck with another 3 hours on him. ANyone else think its broken yet again?

Have you tried foraging yet? Perhaps you can forage it in cabillis or a nearby newbie zone (LOIO or SoNH perhaps?), has anyone tried?
