I haven’t hunted in Jagged Pine very much yet, but if you’re a druid or ranger you shouldn’t have too many problems. Most of the wondering mobs, such as wolves, panthers and bears will not attack us. The only things I’ve seen that either of my characters has to worry about are the griffins and the occasional wondering gnoll. I’m certain there are other dangers, but in general it’s a much safer zone than others I’ve hunted in. And the good thing about the anacondas is that they’re not social, they just don’t care if you’re killing one of their kin. Just be careful when fighting them, for they do hit rather hard.

The only characters I’ve taken into the zone are my druid and my ranger, so I’m not sure how the animals will react to other characters. If they are hostile then JP will be a much more dangerous area to hunt in.

        JP Animals

The animals didn't like my cleric much. Druid friend of mine had a problem with one of the cat breeds. Though in wolf form his faction went up, wolf form was enough for all of the animals to love me.

Illusion: Spirit Wolf also works to make a Chanter like me non-KOS to the animals here.

I took my shaman there hoping to solo xp while getting meat for my cleric. Most of the animals were green or light blue but even greens would attack me if I went into agro range. I killed a few that attacked me then gated out because each kill is a faction hit with the residents. So much for that method.

I know killing gnolls in Blackburrow will raise your faction with the residence of JP. But I’m not sure what, if anything, will raise it with the animals.

I have a ranger who hunts here. I snare root and dot. When root breaks, this is a good place for druids and rangers to get out their fear animals spells. Snare and then fear and melee them.

                  Animal Faction

I've never been to Jaggedpine, but I've been to Surefall and quests there will raise your faction with QRG Protected Animals.

The Qeynos Rangers Guild Protected Animals are the wolves and bears in the Qeynos hills, as well as the Karanas I think, and of course Surefall glade itself. I would expect that the animals in Jaggedpine would be the same faction.

Try running the quests in Surefall to gain faction with the fuzzies.
