Congrats! HUZZAH! and when do we hear about the spoon?

Now the real question: What was your WIS during this?

I have a 203 in Baking and am building up supplies to do 180 Halas Meat Pie Combos; 29 Cheesy Cassaroles and 80 Griffon Melts; not as many as yours but I am running out of room in the bank.

Based on your numbers I might make it to 211 with what I have; but I can only get my WIS to 226 at the moment; so if I have a lower WIS my success rate in skillups might not be as high if my WIS is lower.

My INT was between 269 and 275 (depending on whether I have C3)

Oh now I'm really confused... Today I had 253 INT (with KEI), and after I made my first MTP I put it in my first food slot - MTP's have +5 INT, but my INT would only go to 255 when I put in the MTP... I thought there must be a cap on INT at 255...

        What gives?

What level are you? If you are not at least 61 your int is capped at 255, but if you are level 65 it's 305, or 355 with the right number/type of AA points.

            stat caps

            The above post is incorrect.

The cap for all statictics from 1 to 60 is 255. The cap increases by 5 points per level for 61 through 65. The stat cap at 65 is 280. Planar Power will increase the cap by another five points per level for five levels. The stat cap with Planar Power is 305. I don't recall another ability that will allow you to increase the cap over 305. There may be one, but I haven't bothered with it yet. If I find it I'll post with that information.

If you go to magelo, or just add up all your armor by hand, you can find that you can HAVE over 300 WIS/INT. But the game will only really process the first 255 pts.

My roomie has something like 315 wis. More wis = more mana, or to the like. Does more wis/int help with skillups? I wouldn't think so. Like having more than 104 cha won't matter to the merchants; 104 is their cap. so sure, stock up on wis/int if you so desire, but the game only cares about the first 255.

Sanna... 104 is no where near the 'cap' on merchants, maybe for merchants with ally faction.... I have to be well over 150 to get best price in some places, (shadowhaven for example).

Some merchants you'd have to be well over 200, because they are high traffic, or just bad deal givers.

As for the 355 max int, casters can get 355 int/wis, all other classes 305 is the max with planar abilities.

Gargazon is correct, the max INT is 355

                  natural cap for 1-60 = 255
                  natural cap for 65 = 255 + 5 per level * 5 levels above 60 = 280
                  Planar Power AA = 280 + 5 per rank * 5 ranks max = 305
                  Innate Enlightenment = 305 + 10 per rank * 5 ranks max = 355

Oh that's painful for me to see. I've blown through over 400 griffon and anaconda meat attempts just going from 202 to 215 and I'm stuck again at 215. My wisdom is 255 but my INT is what's killing me I guess. Time to get some KEI's I guess

Highest is all that matters, sorry that wasn't clearer in previous posts.

You can have 355 wisdom and 4 int and that is fine. Though I'd like to see the geat that gets you 4 int .

Oh no... I've been at 255 wisdom for a while now and I've hit several runs from 202-216 that took 80-100 combines for each skill point with a 114 INT.

I've picked up 5 more points plus an AA point for 2 more after that. Also got KEI last night and fired from 216-229 in an average of 18 attempts per skill point. It paid off well for me.

INT does seem generally more effective than WIS for skill increases. I'm sitting at 226 on Baking and most of my post 200 conbines have required 40-80 combines per skill up.

Maybe the RNG just hates me... but with 255 INT, from 207 - 228 has taken me an average of 28 combines per skill up.

But I'm doing it with MTP...

The RNG doesn't hate you. It hates me. I took me 220 combines to go from 199 to 200 using MTPs to skill up. Average for me has been between 40 and 50 attempts per point. I only have 194 INT though.

I wasn't aware of the increased cap on INT and WIS for casters. I play a bard so what do I know I never had the patience for a casting class. There is way too much downtime in the beginning for me.
