I loved doing pies. I raid a lot, so I would buy a bag full of stuff - maybe 2 stacks of each meat and take them to the raid to make fillets while they made groups or we had other downtime (I wasn't always grouped with people so I didn't spam them.)
Then I'd cream the fillets, and later that night or the next morning, it didn't take any time to finish them up. I would normally yield a couple of bags full of pies, which I would take to a raid and give away. It was never cumbersome for me, and I didn't have to do a lot of mule switching like I did with picnics.
It always seemed to me that this was "found" time for me since I would be sitting around waiting otherwise. I have a bazaar shopping list by my computer, and I shop first thing in the morning and before I log off. I found wolf and mammoth meat easily that way.
