  • Mushrooms where should I go?

Anyone have any suggestions on where I can forage mushrooms the fastest? Been doing Neth lair, but only seem to get about 4 per hour. Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried to look in as many posts as I could, but didn't find any concrete information.

As I always suggest on this kind of question, check with the forge table on the main site and look to find the zones that have what you are after but as little "special items" as possible. Using the example, Neth has only one special forage item; the Nitrate. However, Shadowhaven has ZERO special items. Each time you hit that forage button, it's a random chance to get what you are after. There are 3 items on the "all zones" list so in Neth you have 4 items that you only want one of where as in Shadowhaven you only have 3; better chance to get what you want. On the other hand, Shadeweaver's Thicket or Grimling Forest would be the WORST with a total of EIGHT "competing" items.

I've was doing mine in Katta, safe, no train if you are not KoS, and you don't get a lot of the crap forage in other luclin zones. Don't remember the yield but it was higher than 4 (more like 6-8) an hour. My druid's forage is 200 though. Not sure if that makes a difference.

The best place for mushroom foraging is echo caverns hands down. The number of items on the foraging list in EC is the shortest on the moon and that's where I got my mushroom to get my baking up.

              Shroomage...

I have had no problems and have foraged a lot of mushrooms in Paludal Caverns. Have spent a bit of time there leveling my ranger alts. Both have foraged a bunch of mushrooms.

I'd recommend Echo Caverns as well. Only 4 items on the forage table : Water, roots, grubs, shrooms.

Don't forget to check the luclin merchants for mushrooms too!

I've done well on my short trips though Shadow Haven. I have been running some little quests to get my faction up and pulled one shroom each direction as I'm just running around.

I know it's been pointed out before, but nobody seems to have mentioned it here, so...there's an NPC in Gukta, just to the left after you enter from Innothule, named Dar Forager somethingorother. He generally has a stack of mushrooms and 25 snake eggs on him. If you buy up his stock, he'll wander off (and pop in Innothule), restock, and come back within an hour or less, and have 25 more eggs and 20 more mushrooms. If you just spend a couple of afternoons in Gukta doing community service buffing newbs, healing, offering advice, etc., you should be able to score a couple of packs full.

The frog forrager has been nerfed. He no longer sells mushrooms. I'm glad I bought my 24 stacks from him before he lost his sales contract though....

Yep. I'm the one who discovered Lumun was nerfed. He now carries something called Swamp Rolls, in place of the Mushrooms. (+1 to a couple of stats, look like Fish Rolls)
