What is a Tanaan oven and where is it located?

General Directions

As you zone in from Nexus. Turn complete around so Nexus portal stone is directly behind you. There is a bridge a little ahead on your right. Go up the bridge & thru the arch.

To your diagonal right is the bank & to your left is a building area. Turn left into the building area . Go through the arch & you will be in a courtyard. There will be a brewing barrel to your left & a door to your diagonal right with a bread sign hanging over it. The oven is in there.

There are two ovens in that room. Exact locs are listed in the Plane of Knowledge trade supplies page.

Some of the confusion stems from the fact that many PoP recipes state that they need the Tanaan: oven, forge, pottery wheel, kiln or brew barrel ... and, well, there's nothing really labeled that anywhere.

The "tanaan" part of the name refers to the city of New Tanaan ... what we call the Plane of Knowledge. So, if you want to find the "tanaan" anything, you look for the stationary containers in PoK, and ignore the fact that when you open one up, it just looks like a normal "oven", "forge", etc. All stationary tradeskill containers in PoK are specially coded to accept the new PoP recipes, and the durn things generally won't work in the same containers in any other zone out there.

I don’t think there is. But I bet every gnome tinker out there wishes the collapsible containers could be used for PoP recipes. Don’t you know the prices for those containers would skyrocket again.
