I think I made a mistake...

I just bought 81 Hero Parts at 40 pp each, then just realized that it takes 3 Hero parts (smoked, spiced and plain) to make the Hero Sandwiches Yield 2. So assuming no fails thats a cost of 60pp per Sandwich, not counting the extras.

Can I sell these things for that much, I can't remember the price they normally go for on Tarrew Marr, but would welcome pricing on other servers....

I wouuld say 40 pp a part is a good price. Yield on sandwiches is approx 1 sandwich per 1 part because of yields on the subcombines, excluding failures. So that puts your cost at approx 50 pp per sandwich maybe? with some failures (assuming baking 240+ with mod)

On my server cheapest price for sandwiches is 100 pp per sandwich WHEN you see them for sale. One person had them for sale at 500 each last night-betting he didn't sell them though.

Well actually, the way I look at is you need 4 Hero Parts to make 4 Hero sandwiches.

1 hero part for spiced hero parts - yield 2
1 hero part for smoked hero parts - yield 2
Then 2 plain hero parts to match your other yields.

Assuming you fail on 10 out of 80 tries, it will have cost you a bit less than 50pp per sandwich to make them. If you forage your own vegetables then it's only a little more than 45pp per sandwich. That's not a bad deal at all, and you could probably sell them for 80 plat or more....

It basically averages out to one part = one sandwhich, although you need four parts to make two attempts for a potential of four sandwhiches.

Since the final combine is a >250 combine, you've got to assume that you'll fail half of them (although my own results have been better with the limited number that I've done to date) meaning you'll end up with 40 sandwhiches that cost you (after failures) 80plat each to make plus the cost of secondary components.

So if you sell them for 100 plat each, that gives you a 800 plat profit from a 3200 plat investment.

Ahh my bad, I didn't check the Yields on Spiced/Smoked Hero parts.

It will be a little while before I use them up (only at 206 baking), although I do have large amounts of stock that could get me up near the 240's I think.

Thanks for you comments, I am feeling a bit better now. If I can't sell them for a profit, I think from what I have gathered here I can at least break even.

Just FYI, at 250 plus 5% I fail on hero sandwiches 3 out of 20 tries, so the trivial is not much over 250 at all.
