  • Baked Items that sell well in Bazaar?

    'lo folks...

This is a post both for myself and two friends of mine that I met in my road of baking.

What items can be made that sell well in the Bazaar? As it is for me right now, Im broke, my gear sucks, and (the worst part is) my baking is still at 191.

Only items that came to me were Halas 10lb Meat Pies, and Misty Thicket Picnics. But how about Ohabah Truffles? Patty Melts? Fish Rolls? Anything? Im not looking to make loads of money (not that Id complain) just enough to keep baking and maybe a little over if its possible.

    Thanks for all your help!

I still make Patty Melts sometimes at skill 212 because I know they will sell for good profit. HMP's are my best seller. I hate making them, but they make me the most money.

Ohabah truffles are the fastest way to get to 202, but they hardly sell at all. I had to drop price to 5g each to get any to move.

I've sold off all my patty melts from skilling up at 1pp each and they moved pretty well. It's the same price fishrolls where going for and they are cheaper to make. I just wanted to recoup my expenses. Still, they sold well enough that I've been thinking about making them just for sale.

If you are making to sell stick with Fish Rolls or stat foods.

Nothing in between matters, Patty melts take more ingredients and a Trek to JP.... and sell for the same price.

Heck, fish rolls sell faster anyhow, why not go with the flow?

Can easily make 12-20pp profit per stack. Then switch to stat foods when you want more money, HMP's are hell, but they go for 100pp per stack, quite a jump.

          Best Sellers -

          Halas 10lb Meat Pies
          Misty Thicket Picnis

I am a 239 Baker on Veeshan. I have made about 17k in PROFIT in the last 2 weeks off these items. On top of that, I sell for the CHEAPEST in Bazaar. Halas pies for 3pp 5gp, and Picnics for 8pp. Thats lowest on Veeshan.

Dont bother with fish rolls or patty melts. Your best bet is stat foods all the way.

Other bakers on Kane Bayle would cry foul if I lowered my prices on MTP's to 8pp, but I have a feeling I would make more money if I did.

And I forget that not everyone is a druid. Patty melts make sense if you are. Fish Rolls are better if you are not.

Just as a side note: Yes, lucky cabbage prices generally stay high, but they are also hard to sell. I made 10, keep one for myself for CHA stats, and I've only sold 2. Nice profit margin, though.

              Baked goods? Sell? I wish...

MTP are about the only things that will sell decently. HMPs are crashing or have already crashed. Fish rolls might sell, but there is very little profit to be made, in my opinion. All servers are different, though, but picnics will sell, if only due to the relatively low success rate that prevents flooding.

Despite other posts on this thread, I do still have a baking vendor. I throw a huge variety of food onto it and basically something sells every night.

Exotic meats, priced cheap, a shout explaining that these are for forcefeeding helps to move them along. Candied Cockroaches are the same -- price them low and watch them go

Swamp rat crunchies sit for ages and then sell like mad; I'm guessing raiders pop by and pick them up before heading somewhere dangerous.

Lotus pies sell one by one but they do sell (and with a yield of six, they are not quite as nightmarish as it may seem if you get baking to 200).

Justice Fruit Pies sell intermittantly but a stack at a time when they go.

I left some Pies on my mule at 5pp each (going price on Tarew Marr is currently 2-3pp) because it was as easy for me to pick them up there as on another mule. Last night I sold 40. *shrug*

A tip: nip to Freeport and stock up on fizzlecutter and drop it on the same bazaar vendor; people like one shop stops and I believe that some sales are based on them coming for the drink and noticing the food.

                  Success with HMPs

                  Hello Everyone.

Monday I was broke. I used my last 40 platinum to get a KEI and started making some Halas 10lb Meat Pies (HMP). I had enough ingredients on my mule for 55 combines, plus I already had 200 pies on the mule that I had made earlier. I priced the pies at 2p9g on Karana server, and they sold like crazy. I realize at that price I'm not making much. But if you have inventory that doesn't move, you aren't making anything at all, so I price mine to sell. And while my druid was farming Everfrost for mammy meat, he knocked off the fellow that drops the cloak of the icebear twice. My druid did a few ports, and he took a break from farming mammy meat to kill a few ice giants. Monday I had zero platinum. On Wednesday when I left for work(night shift), I had almost 4,000 platinum in the bank. The best part was that I got two skill increases on those 55 combines from 196 to 198. I've also done well with fish rolls too. I've sold probably 4-5000 at 1pp each. Some days you won't sell any, the next you'll sell 20 stacks. I had to price patty melts at 1pp to get them to move, and that is not much of a profit margin.

                  Hope that helps you some.

                      Jumjum Cake

People making Misty Thicket Picnics in Shadowhaven will LOVE you since you are keeping them from sub combines with those foraged and farmed goods. I wouldn't suggest selling the Marmalade Sandwiches though, unless you plan to hold a few backpacks of them.

Hobgoblin surprise- I've made several thousand pp off of these

                        also-

HMP i sell for 7pp each (higher than most people but still sell em well)
MTP i sell for 11-12 pp each (again higher but people will buy them.. probably fellow tradeskillers who know how freakin stupid it is to sell these for 3pp)
Lotus pies.. about 4-5 a week for 75pp each
Blood raven stews been selling pretty well for 10pp each
                        Hero sandwiches for 70-100
Stuffed poppers for 50pp sell somewhat
Swamp rat crunchies sell ok for 10-15
Lucky cabbage for 30pp or so

I have sold some other stuff like racial meats (although i dont make any more.. use em for potions now) and patty melts but for now not making much in terms of stuff i cant sell for more than 5pp each due to trader space.

just found 2 claws and made 8 yummy buttered buckets of crab legs >< and threw them on for 300pp each since those are the only 2 rukas claws i've ever got my hands on... no takers yet >< but I was very happy to use my crab cracker and bucket!!

I stopped counting fish roll profit, easily over 5k so far though @1pp each. When I get bored I'll make 20 stacks and throw them on my vendor.

I make better money selling tradeskill and quest items though. Basilisk eggs are a good one if you don't mind farming them. Globlin skins are better, 25pp ea usually.

Hey, go ahead. I was considering doing the same thing. I think that our current 15pp low price is too far to the right on the bell curve. We can make the picnics as fast as they sell, since the components are so easy to get, so why not include the large number of players that would buy at 8 or 9p?

I think I'm pretty much the only other regular MTP baker on KB, so no crying foul here.
