  • New supply (limited) of Foraged Mushrooms

While exploring Gukta and merchant mining I found a merchant near the entrance named "Dar Forager Lumun", just Northeast of the Soulbinder.

Upon inspecting his inventory, I fould he had "Mushroom". Cool, I'll buy some, maybe some PC forager just sold some. Yep, he ended up having 25 and they stacked with the ones I had already on me deep in a bag.

I tested them out and they did make Ohabah Truffles.

Now, here's the catch. I switched to my ranger to transfer some gear and noticed Dar Forager Lumun was gone. About 5 minutes later he came walking by me from the direction of the zone to Innothule, stopped at his merchant point and stood there. I right clicked him and his invtory was reset and he had another 25 Mushrooms on him!!

I have since verified this two other times, both times having exactly 25 mushrooms. Although a minor boon, it still alows for a merchant-purchased path to 202, without having to have/contract out a forager.

From a game play point of view, it appears once he runs out of Foraged Mushrooms, he leaves Gukta to go out and forage some more

This is already posted somewhere... don't remember where off hand.

Anyhow, seems to take him 1 day to forage, so he'll make it back on a 72 minute timer.

    Edit: Found it

It is in denmoms corner. Apparently the guy has 10 snake eggs too. I thought those mushrooms were only foraged on the moon... crafty little guy.

Has anyone tried killing him to make him spawn faster? Or will it take the same 72 minutes after he dies?

              LOL thanks :P

I posted it there because it was a note to the DenMother about info she already had posted on the main page of the website. http://www.eqtraders.com/location/gukta.htm

You can still consider yourself the first to bring the info to the baking board if it makes you happier. *giggle*

How to get 50 mushrooms per cycle

Just thought I'd share a little trick I discovered that lets you get 50 mushrooms from the Forager on the same cycle. When he zones in from the swamp he walks a short distance to the spot where he sets up as a vendor. Target him while he is walking and then click on him to open the vendor window. Buy the 25 mushrooms. Let him finish walking to the spot and then click on him again to open the vendor window. You'll find that he's got a second batch of 25 mushrooms.

Note that to do this you have to catch him while he's walking. Also, it does not work on the leg of his journey where he zones out of Gukta, it's only on his way in.

I thought, 'GROOVY' Truffels here I come, then realised, that the otters in CS, were KOS to me, as I had been slaughtering them for the past 2 weeks.

I got 50 shrooms from him 2 days ago, but since then he's been standing around next to the soul binder with the same inventory.

                        What faction is he on?

Maybe it would be better to kill him and see if he respawns with mushrooms... if you're an evil race that is.

I slaughtered otters by the truck load. Lucky for us, default faction with the otters is indiff so make a to buy from them. Nothing sees invis and nothing near the vendor is KOS so it is pretty safe sending in a lvl 1 mule to buy.

Ummm... It might take a few times with a level 1 mule.

99% of Cobalt Scar is KoS to you by default, since they are on Claws of Veeshan faction.

I'm guessing the Forager guy is on whatever faction Gukta is now. He conned green-indifferent to me at 60 (Tunare-worshiping Druid).
