Way back when my druid was level 20, I started baking. Just seemed like a good skill for a halfling druid to have.
Through the levels I've gotten brewing to 145, Pottery to 135, fishing to 200, and finally at level 56 baking hit 250.
It was time to try for my spoon! I gathered up the gems my magician had collected, bought some rubies and a poison vial, and headed to our in house enchanter to get the mounted gems and vial of mana.
Holding my breath on each combine I watched as he mounted the gems for me. Heart pounding in my chest I collected the rest of the ingredients and placed them in the pottery wheel. I counted to 8 (my lucky number) and hit combine. Ayah! An unfired Artisan seal. I took it and the firing sheet and put it in the kiln. I once again counted to 8 and hit combine. Ayah!! An artisan seal.
Only one single combine, one small click of the mouse, stood between me and the result of a project started 36 levels before. I counted to 8 slowly, and clicked the button. And on my cursor sat a grandmaster's baking spoon!!
The moment for me was at least as exciting as the day my magician got her epic. I've frequented these boards for help for a long time, but never posted. I just felt like sharing my excitement with everyone now though, since it was the posts and input from everyone here that helped me so much in building baking to begin with.
