Yep, they last a long time. Best tradeable food in the game and not too hard to farm (SoF minotaurs the hardest mob to kill and the three oak acorns are annoying to forage, the rest is easy at level 70+), worth making.
Ngreth nice Ogre. Ngreth not eat you. Well.... Ngreth not eat you if you still wiggle!

I wouldnt say theyre working on a solution as much as they are simply aware of it.
They are working on solutions for all the bugs, just some take a higher precedence and get more immediate attention.
If tomorrow they were to figure out the solution, it would get integrated and tested and pushed through to a patch, though it is not an urgent issue apparently. Items that don't give the proper stats that they list. It is a minor issue in the game.
I think the real solution to this problem would best be solved by a rework of the way food/drink is consumed in the game to beginwith. Similar to how EQ2 gives you a buff for the food/drink when you consume them to give the stats. This would probably be a much much larger (core code) change and would address the issue of the stats as well as put an end to force feeding and only needing 1 high end stat food.
I am not sure what Ngreth and the other dev's think about force feeding and if it is even an issue that they would want removed, but it seems that food/drink stats have been limited by force feeding in a similar way as how arrows have not gone up in a long time because of Endless Quiver aa.

I've found Treant Hearts to also be annoying to get. Does anybody happen to know if these drop in some TSS/TBS/SoF zone (advantage being more mobs and maybe even Exp at 80) or is it still need to go searching PoR zones for these?
They seemed to be very rare in Blightfire. I had the best luck in GoruKar Mesa, southwest corner, usually 5 hearts per clear of the rotted treants. The ones in The Steppes might be good treants with unpleasant faction hits.
