  • Eron's Herb Frog Legs...Trouble with combine..

Ok I got the recipe for Eron's Herb Frog Legs from another post here on the boards. I have all the items, *got the frog legs from vendor diving* I don't have the SOF expansion. I've tried to combine the items in an oven and I get the following message...

"This seems correct, but something is wrong. Perhaps you need to know something more in order to combine this."

The frog legs are a 400 trivial, so I wanted to see if I could make them. Can I not make them, because I dont have the SOF expansion? Do I have to get the quest in order to make these?? If so, that just SUCKS! /sigh

I know that when you get this quest (the 3rd in series), you are handed a piece of paper which you open then click the scribe button. That addes the recipe for eron's herb frog legs to baking containers for you.

Seems like either the recipe someoen gave you is slightly off, or perhaps this recipe has to be scribed before it can be used. I can double check recipe in oven tomorrow when main back online. I have no heard of combines being expansion restricted before...but if it has to be scribed first then you'll need SoF to get the quest.

My guess is that the note you get from Eron to scribe with the recipe is having the same effect as having to scribe the cultural armor books for Elegant armor.

That is the same error message people receive when they try to manually make a piece of Elegant armor without buying the recipe book from the vendor first.

Yes, you would need SoF to make this recipe if that is the case.

Your Choice to see it that way. This is a quest recipe, and part of a quest line.

Can those of us who have successfully completed this stage of the task still make these as tasty treats, or once we have finished that stage will the recipe stop working for us?

As long as I did not do something silly and require something from the quest NPC as part of the combine itself (I do not think I did)

The frogs roam all over the eastern half of the zone. They are small though and get lost in the grass.

I found mine on a frog more in the southern end of the zone between the werewolf camp and the base of the ramp leading up to the switchbacks to the Fangbreaker camp.

Turn off grass (advanced display I think) and you may be able to see better. Those tall grass can easily hide small mobs.
