    with 255 int...geerlock....did 240 combines at 167...aiming for 200...thinking i had more than enuf mushrooms...ended up with 189
thats LESS than 1 out of 10 success rate..........earlier i was having much
    much better experience..................now i am wondering...how many
mushrooms will i need to make one more baking run....was thinking 110.......comments and suggestions please?

This is most likely not going to help, but why did you not do Patty Melts, triv at 191 and ingredients can be store bought. Then do Truffles to 202...

But, as you have noticed Skill ups have started to slow down, after 150 - 160 I have noticed that skill ups start to come at bigger and bigger range of attempts... Its just natural, from 189 to 250 if you can manage a skill up per 20 you will be doing well...

I know folks say there is no hell level..BUT!..i did notice it took a lot more combines to go from 191 to 218ish.. during that range I would be happy getting 3 skill ups per 200 combines....then when I hit 218 or so, they started flowing in. I would get 5-6 skill ups per 200 combines every time, till I hit 250..

I started tracking my combines at 191, although I do remember that it took 212 combines to go from 188-189.

It took about 100 combines per skill up from 191 to 217, after which, it was only taking me about 50 combines per skill up, so I think it's fair to say that these definately are hell levels.

I encountered simular problems in both fletching and JC as well.

          /agree Cigarskunk.

Very few people report not getting a series of hell levels somewhere, for many its the 190's, for others around 210 or in the 220's, for me in brewing it was the 220's that took the most work.

Its present in all tradeskills, you just have to wait until you get into your own personal hell range.

ahh..i feel better...though i have been playing eq since beta...just now
got involved in trade skills...thought incorrectly that the success rate i
had at lower levels could continue..

as to why not patty melts...earlier i had no fry pan...then someone gave
me 100 mushrooms..and i figured easier route was truffles..had i to do over..would have done melts first

If you need a peice of cooking gear and you don't have the smithing or pottery skills to make it and you can't find someone to make it for you, sometimes you've just gotta force it - grab a few backpacks full of molds and just keep banging at the forge (assuming you don't want to train your skill up first) until you get lucky - that's what my WE fletcher had to do to get a WE fletching kit.

                MTP Hell

I'm going through Hell right now with Misty Thicket Picnics. Skill level of 228, a geerlock and wisdom of 251 with KEI. I can't figure out if my level is too low but for every 10 attempts I'm getting about 3 or 4 successes. Luckily my tailoring and smithing are at a level where I can make the picnic baskets myself but it would be nice to see a few more MTP's in my inventory.
