  • Misty Thicket Picnic nerfage?

With the upcomming nerfs to any combines you can go storebought to 300, such as the sickles for smithing, will picnics also be nerfed? The official word I read was that anything that's all store buyable would be. Technically, you have to farm something to make these, but I think it's only 1 thing(Brownie Parts)

I've found I also need to obtain "fruit", which is foraged.

Dunno yet. It is a someday thing for baking and brewing, and not sure. That drop may be sufficient to keep it up. I have not yet made any particular plans here. If it is part of the earring quest though it may be adjusted to match the other adjustments for that quest.

Personally, between the need for brewing/smithing/tailoring in addition to baking skill, the need for dropped brownie parts, foraged fruits, and dropped eggs, and the huge number of subcombines, I feel that there is no reason to lower the trivial. From personal experience, there is a huge amount of running around to make them, and as far as I know, cresent reach and shadowhaven are the only 2 zones with all the vendor bought parts. I've never make any mistletoe cutting sickles myself, so I can't speak to the difficulty of the gathering and subcombines for them, but from looking at the recipe on this site, it seems to be a fairly major amount of work, equaling if not exceeding the difficulty in making MTPs. In my opinion, there should be 1 skillup path for each tradeskill that will go to 300, but requires huge amounts of effort, though I can definitely see Ngreth's point that not needing any dropped parts may be a problem. Maybe add a dropped component to the recipe for MCSs?

I did mine in abysmal. Had a great system going and did a few thousand of them on autopilot pretty much drooling and staring off into space while muscle memory took me to 300...

so I dont see a need to change this particular one earring quest or not.

            As I implied...

For this one, it would only change to be consistent, not because it breaks the "no vendor only to 300" rule.

Correct. Which is why the change would only be to make it "consistent" not to make it fit the "no vendor 300" rule.

You guys keep forgetting the eggs are also needed to make dough for the cake. =P

I'd leave the baking as it is, there's no vendor only path that I know of and it doesn't really offer any high end sellable items like smithing and tailoring does.

Um... huh?? A doesn't eat AA would crash the baking market, permanently.

You would get a very short surge of sales, and then the stat food market would disappear.

Doubtful there'd be any better eating AA than innate metabolism. And defiantly doubt there would be any EQ type AA for unlimited eating and drinking.

What I would like to see implemented would be one of two ideas (or both).

The first would be a count-down timer (like on buffs) for when you are going to eat food.

The other would be a pop up warning (like before you destroy something).

I refuse to use the good food items because I know I get too focused on the action (lately just an hour or two to play, so I have been trying to make good use of it and I keep eating the foods and water I have). I am in a somewhat better position since, as a ranger can forage and slam food and water. The problem is that I am always pulling and tanking and running a bot, so I just don't have time to focus on whether I am about to eat my challenge or not.
