  • What is the Best Foraged Egg for Noodles

What is the best place for foraged eggs for noodles? It seems that even the zones with only 4-5 foraged items only turn up eggs rarely.

    Western Wastes

    Drake Eggs
    Dragon Eggs
    Wurm Eggs.

All have high yields for egg yolk, noodles, batters, clumps of dough.

Drake and dragon can also be turned into an oil. As well as the dragon eggs for Mayo.

That IS the best place for foraged eggs, but as a level 70, you will have NO problem killing basilisks in a number of zones for their eggs, which all have a yeild of 15. Nektulous forest, Lavastorm, JPF (basilisk progenitors ONLY here)... and it will certainly be faster than waiting to forage the eggs..
BTW, FORAGED basilisk egg only has a yield of 5, not 15...

I believe the basilisk eggs yeild 15 only for batter and for clumps of dough. For noodles they only yield 2, but as stated they are a very fast farm in either place.

If you happen to be foraging in WW while getting pelts from wolves and mammoths then that can work nicely too.

Please dont 'waste' the dragon eggs on noodles - they are the rarest egg forage and are used in other recipes. Sell them instead and buy 10 times as many wurm/basilisk eggs with the profit. Drake eggs are also handy for tailors so you may want to sell those too.
I will always remember shuddering while on ToV raids when reading the emote that some ranger/druid had just eaten a valuable egg.

Just a little update, since I was foraging for eggs over the weekend in western wastes. 200 Forage skill + 10% (machette) + Nature's Bounty 3.

493 components (I did not track how many actual forages it was, NB3 gets bonus forage a lot, guessing about 300 forages total, your results may vary):

24 Tuft of Dire Wolf Fur
                29 Dragon Eggs
                32 Arctic King Crabs
                51 Drake Eggs
                60 Wurm Eggs
                62 Dragon Claw Slivers
                87 Lichen Roots
                148 Globs of Slush Water

140 Eggs (28% of forages that can yield noodles)

                29 Dragon Eggs (6%) = yield 8 for noodles
                51 Drake Eggs (10%) = yield 3 for noodles
                60 Wurm Eggs (12%) = yield 4 for noodles

As previously stated, the Dragon Eggs and the Drake eggs are required for other trade skill combines, so would be best to use wurm eggs. Western wastes is a great spot for tradeskill foraging!

I prefer ToV since my druid's dragon faction is craptacular. I end up using all of the dragon eggs for various items, but still have a couple bags full of wurm and drake for a rainy day.

Griffon eggs in East Commonlands seemed to gather fairly quick.

I've found if you hit one of the Faydwer snakes just right- eggs shoot out the other end. Just need a friend wif very soft and fast hands to catch them.

Den ders dem **** birds who think they "all that" crapping on statues of our heros...dem ye gots to hit in the belly with a club just right or sneak up on them and say "BOO!" leaves an egg or two right where they was standing be they female or male. Chose which to use wisely. . .
