New skill up recipie

I just love the Lemon Merangue(sp) Pie recipie.I think its better than patty melts for skilling since it trivals at 200 and has stats +4INT/DEX/AGI.
Two slight disadvantages over patty melts are they reguire eggs to make and three cups of sugar which is slighty expensive around 5gold each.
Patty melts on the other hand trival lower 191 and require a non stick frying pan.Thoughts?

they need eggs which will make them an outright no for most people, the patty melts are just plain out easyer because all the stuff is vendor bought, and there is a banker right next to the one person that sells the cheese

Cheese is sold in Abysmal Sea now as well. All you need is to bring a Non-stick frying pan and you can rech 191 on Patty Melts without leaving the room. (oven is outside the building, but can use spit inside). Eggs are easy enough to get compared to other options so the Lemon Merangue looks liek a good way for the next few points though.

You can use the oven thats right beside the baking vendors in Abysmal Sea. If you click on the bit that looks like a Fork, it will open up a Fork Oven which seems to work just the same!

Eggs are not really a problem for some. I freqnetly run to Lavastorm for DoN and everytime I run toward the caves leading to good/evil camps I kill every basilisks I saw for eggs. I started doing that a few months before I did MTP run and I have like 5 or 6 stacks of eggs. Lately I've stopped farming the eggs cuz I'm running out of the room already (yes with the new PoR expansion installed)

Basilisk egg have decent yeild per combines (15) and are fairly easy to farm. Black reptile kind of sticks out in mostly grey/red/orange zone so if you have clip plane and actor plane set high you can see it far away, screw the tracking!

ToV is a great place to forage eggs. Nice and quiet if you can manage to get around Sontalak...my poor druid has about a 50/50 chance of getting through safely.

overall yes eggs are not hard to obtain, going at it from a skill up path though, im not so sure people will want to, i meen cmon, you get a 20 stack of the cakes needed for MTPs for one dough vrs one combine for this, overall, its just not so smart to waste the eggs on this combine since well, one can just as easly jump to Holy Cakes, griffon stir fry, anaconda stir fry, jaggedpine stir fry, or Anaconda Melt just as easly if not easyer than trying to find eggs. also the stuff mentioned has a higher triv value thus they can go at it for longer and thus not waste any set number of combines

edit - also if your looking for a 200 ish skill step why not just go the Beer-braised Tuna Rolls route i meen fishing for tuna is easyer than killing for eggs, and the rest is vendor bought

Not sure I followed you on the cake to dough to egg thing, but I jumped a bit to break up the bordem of one combine. 20 cakes needs 1 dough and making the dough I always got 5 dough to the egg...that was using Basilisk eggs...(using snake eggs probably would not yield so many dough) and still have tons of eggs left...have only made about 40 dough which is 8 Basilisk eggs...was a pain to farm them, but I got 40 eggs in a couple hours of farming and being afk to cook in RL. I agree though that some of the other things are easier...except that Anaconda Melt...never have found the meat for it

15 clump of dough from basilisk eggs = 300 jumjum cakes = 1500 combine attempt of MTP. All from one egg So egg is rather insignifiant in MTP. I needed only 2 eggs plus 3 lump of dough to go from 194 to 300 and the rest of that dough plus another egg to evolve the trophy to level 7.

Other recipies need eggs more.

I"m a big fan of MTP's but Lemon Mergrane(sp) pies are good stats/cost ratio IMO.
