Kellek Felhammer in Kael Drakkal sells the pickles. Kept thinking about that frozen vegetable line one night and did a search in /buyer for things that would go on a sandwich. Tomato, Pickle, Onion etc. When i seen Coldain Pickles i figured since the Coldain come from a frozen/icy area in the game and a pickle is a vegetable it might just be it.
I attempted a combine last week just the same as above but instead i used Cheesy Tomato Mountain Bread.
Then the new clue of 3 items kinda threw me off, making me think it was a 7 total combine, until he posted 10 today which is what i thought originally before that clue.
Ill admit the Coldain Pickles was a very sneaky choice

sigh...I'm on Coldain and CoV faction...I don't suppose these are also sold in Skyshrine? If not, I guess I will have to pester someone in the guild on Giant Faction to go buy some pickles for me, hehehe

edit: Or maybe that pickle-crazy Ogre, Boomba the Big, in West Freeport, could import some Coldain Pickles, at a premium, of course?

Anyone with Sneak can buy the pickles, you might have to clear a few giants around the merchant though. Merchants are never KOS.

EDITED - different merchant, not in Tormax area.

Oh, and if they're only sold by the Giants, it will actually be pickled Coldain body parts (just as Boomba the Big in Freeport sells other pickled sapients) and NOT a vegetable at all - so a somewhat unfair "clue", in my view.

The ingredient that held things up so long was the Coldain Pickles. They're sold by Kellek Felhammer in the town center area of Kael Drakkel. If anyone has a /loc for him, please let us know!

The solution was posted by Lazorus in the extremely long Hidden Baking Recipie in PoR thread. It looks like the food duration is just over twice that of Misty Thicket Picnics and Bristlebane's Platters - so a very long time.

Congrats to Lazorus and all the bakers who worked so hard to decipher the recipe!

Only thing I was wondering is.. is the Bristlebane's Challenge no drop (if not, wow! They would sell for alot!)?

I would assume the finished product to be no-drop as it has a no-drop ingredient - Boiled Rockhopper Egg.

Most combine results become no drop once you add a no-drop component.

I predict the price of horse meat and sea dragon meat will skyrocket tho.

That is no ordinary sandwich!!! It has 45,640 calories. To put that into perspective...a Whopper with cheese has 760 calories.

One Bristlebane's Challenge has the caloric content of SIXTY Whoppers with cheese!!! To burn off this many calories, a 155 pound person would need to run 9mph (6.5 minute mile) for approximately 43 hours straight.

This sandwich needs a new classification. It should last 3-5 longer than any other food currently in game.
