I never said deep frying was a wrong recipe, I simply offered different ideas.
Just so you know -- there ARE poppers in the game and we are trying to "discover" the recipe after all (not all recipes have been discovered) and Ngreth clearly said all the previous posts were wrong track with his clue.
Also -- people are talking a lot about Pizza (which does not exist in the game either, fyi).
Personally, I have never thought of a young lizard as an egg. Perhaps the clue is an egg, but to me it doesn't have to be and egg.
Example there is a Young Hopper Claw that is TS marked -- but no known recipes (per EQ Traders), that Lucy shows updated on 2/25/2006.
I doubt a claw is used in a sandwich however.Bonzz of Bertoxx

Pizza does exist in game.
Taelosian Cheesy Tomato Mountain Bread and Taelosian Cheesey Tomato Bread. This has been called Pizza for a long time.
"hearts of trees powdered white and scorched," is an obvious reference to Deep Fried Treant Heart. The heart of the treant is powdered in Taelosian Mountain Wheat Flour and Egg Batter, then scorched in the oven.
"Vegetables are frozen, not scorched". Maybe we're supposed to be freezing the vegetables, not finding frozen vegetables already. What can we freeze with? Ice Cream Churn? What else? What recipes are used in ice cream churn not including ice cream itself?
I wish there was a way to search the EQTC database based on container (find recipes that use this item) would be nice on the more uncommon containers.Last edited by Daabu; 05-14-2006, 12:35 PM.Daabu Zugzugg

Could it be as simple as veggies and a chunk of ice in a mixing bowl?Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade

Is there a flour made from treant hearts (powdered white) that can be used to make bread or a tortilla (scorched)? Like a giant taco or burrito? Then again -- Ngreth did slip up and use the term "sandwich."
"and the young of lizards boiled and dead"
The young of lizards boiled and dead doesn't -- to me -- necessarily mean eggs. Maybe baby lizards -- boil their meat? Like a hot dog? Hmmm -- use Treant Flour to deep fry lizard meat?

The part about the young of lizards boiled and dead is still the part that I do not understand and feel that the hint (if you can call it that) made things worse for this recipe.Shawlweaver Sphynx on Cazic Thule

edit, if we look at the recipe and take it that each line is a single item
item 1
Far between the mountains of bad breath
lies cheese and bread with filling of red,
item 2
hearts of trees powdered white and scorched,
item 3
and the young of lizards boiled and dead
while vegetables are frozen not torched.
the consensuse on item 1 + 2 seem to be the "pizza" and a deep fryed trent heart. the question remains on the 3rd.Last edited by MedailMeadmezzer-eci; 05-14-2006, 10:36 PM.

Medail's post makes alot of sense to me, especially with Ngreth's comment. Thrice... 3 items in the final combine/item added to the final combine.
A mountain pizza, a deep fried treant heart, and a big ?.. If that's the case.. what is "the young of lizards boiled and dead while vegetables are frozen not torched"? 'boiled' limits things, unless we change it to just 'cooked in some way' in which case it could be alot of things.. 'young' still leads me to eggs.. I'm not aware of any lizard young/youngling/youth/etc meat/egg/etc. In that case, omlettes could be a viable choice, but we're stuck back then with 'frozen not torched'..
Still taking a break but I'll keep posting thoughts.

On the other hand, I'm reasonably content with the boiled egg.

That part does bug me as well, but most pizza sauces have garlic in them, so while it is not an ingredient in the tomato sauce used to make EQ's version of pizza, I could see it being added in as a poetic license.
I guess I just feel that since Ngreth said we were off on thinking that his "thrice" comment was that something was added three times, it means that there are three things added to the final recipie.

I introduced this concept back on page 16 before Ngreth's post about no one being on the right track. So not sure if this is the right track or not. With that being said, with him using the term thrice, and knowing not to add something 3 times, I just dont know what else the 3 attaches to except for the number of items that need to be combined with the four.

Ok.this is my first time posting here,i usually just lurkso i hope that i am doing this right,if not please bear with me while i learn
i have been following this thread though for sometime and would like to offer another suggestion for the vegetables since basically everything else has been tried, and that is a Habanero pepper,i dont know how it might fit with the Frozen not torched yet as i have not tried it,but it would tie in with the last line of To make one's tummy happy and Sore! because i guarantee, you eat enough of those little buggers and you'll have a sore tummy
