I don't want this to be a rant, I hope it doesn't come across as such. I'm just puzzled as to why highlevel food (Specifically MTPs, but also HMPs, for example) can't be tributed. I don't expect huge amounts of points for them, but given the high level of skill needed to make them I don't see why something like 5 or 3 or even just 1 points per picnic would be a bad thing.
It wouldn't be such a problem except that the market on luclin is so oversaturated that prices of 2pp per is common. It's hard to get excited about 40pp a stack, especially when someone will very likely undercut me at 1.5pp per. Selling them to a vendor is worth next to nothing, and bankspace is already at a major premium. I did a skillup run today and now my guildbank has over 2400 MTPs because there's nothing else to do with them. At least if I could tribute them, like I can items for tailoring and smithing, I'd get some personal gain, however small, for my time and efforts. I don't think that's a selfish thing to desire, is it?
