What kind of pain am I in store for?

Baking and brewing like a madman. Just hit 290 Baking and the skillups came to a sudden stop. In over 100 combines, I got nothing.

Since this is my first foray into the 250+ Tradeskilling arena, I was wondering if 290 was some kind of plateau and should I be expecting drastic and sudden pain (1 or 2 points per 200 combines, rather than the 10 - 15 I've been getting)

Everyone has the occasional bad run. Its quite normal. Don't expect every point to take over 100.

Anytime I hit 60+ without a skillup I stop for at least a half hour. Replenish supplies, vendor farm anything...
290 -300 averaged a skill up in every 25-30 tries. Sometimes I got 3 back to back to back, and sometimes not..
