Butter?

Ok,

Reruga Crabs and Buttered Crawdads -- two recipes using butter that supposedly exist. I haven't found either Reruga Crabs or Crawdads to test.
Has anyone else discovered any other recipes which use butter? None of my trests worked out...

You can fish crawdads from Plane of Nightmare and another plane in PoP. Check the fishing section forget the other plane. I got a lot of crawdads fishing in PoN....also a lot of treants who see through invis chasing me to zone /sigh.

I've made a couple batches of the Buttered Crawdads, they seem to sell out as fast as I make them.

Safer

If you can get into PoV, crawdads can be fished there as well, the water by the cave at the zoneline is safe to just hang out and fish. My experience is about a 10% rate on crawdads with fishing at 200, and a Brell's fishin' Pole.
