Taken from the Rivervale Voice Vol. 9 No. 10:
    ~New Recipe Uncovered~

A notice was received last week with an interesting and tasty recipe. We chose to publish it for our readers.

    --Niami's Trail Mix--

Busy crafters oft need to wander far from home an' regular meals. Be sure to have a nourishing snack along to tide ye over.

Dry three bunches of berries wit' yer smoker - be sure to use very dry wood as we want to dry the berries, not smoke 'em! Once ye've drive the berries, simply mix them wit' chocolate marr cherries an' a kiola nut for a scrumptious snack!
As some of you know, I have a LOT of food allergies. I'm reminded of the old saying "More ___ than you can shake a stick at!" You could try to shake a stick at all my allergies, but I think your arm would wear out before you got to the end of the list.

It makes it really hard when traveling, to make sure I'm getting enough to eat without having to resort to the foods that would "just" make me miserable for a couple days (as opposed to the ones that would stop me from breathing!)

So before the Fan Faire in the spring, I hit my favorite "spoil me" food place - Trader Joe's, and picked up some supplies: sweetened dried cranberries, chocolate covered cranberries, roasted cashews, and chocolate covered sunflower seeds (the seeds didn't work out so well, and were left out of later versions). I mixed it all together and turned it into a home-made "trail mix" for the Fan Faire.

I brought that stuff with me everywhere, and was told by a few devs: "Get us a recipe, we'll put it in-game"

It's been changed a tad, but it's finally available in-game. Wheeeee!!!!!

I recon the Den Mom has enough wisdom not to need any extra from the food.

            Nice recipe :-D

The amusing part is that Niami can't buy kiola nuts. I have to have my druid buy them. For some reason, the ladies on Sister Isle want to have harsh words with 'Mum ... something about wood elf meat and/or raids on Tunare's realm.

(I'd forgotten about this fact when I went to Sister Isle this m*rning to putter with this. Whoops!)

If I could sneak, that'd be all well and good, but halfling clerics get a tiny racial hide and that's about all she wrote. Far easier to just use my druid and the shared bank. The druid can do double-duty that way, and try to forage more cherries, too.

The sisters are bad, so I hope that you made sure of smacking them over the head with your rolling pin!
