  • Three Hundred Cap vs 335 M.P.B. cap

This has been a long process and almost to 300, maybe 10 more points and have drowned the world in omelettes, Hobgoblin, Hero and Misties.

Question which I dont think was really answered for me.

Why would I want to go on and make a zillon more Misties to reach 335?

Have my spoon and isn't the cap 300 for Master's.

Want to go on to other skills and if no special reason to go to 335 would like to end at 300.

    Thanks

The end is indeed at 300. You cannot skill up past 300 raw skill at this point, though you can raise your effective skill past that cap with skill-modifying items like geerloks or trophies.
    Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade
Master Artisan (300 + GM Trophy in all) of Luclin (Veeshan)
Master Fisherman (200) and possibly Drunk (2xx + 20%), not sober enough to tell!
Lightbringer, Redeemer, and Valiant servant of Erollisi Marr

What is this 335 cap you speak of??

Just because something trivs at 335 doesn't mean you can get your skill there.

Then why have it? if you can't get your triv to that goal, why even state it.

Thanks, then 10 more points and I have capped and if I ever look at another Mistie I will scream. I have drowned the bazaar and my guild with them.

What will be fun now is going on to other skills already started by my toons and also now I can bake this and that for the different classes in my guild rather than trying to meet a cap.

Well, prior to the new UI, they didn't state it. All we knew was ">250" because it never trivialed. We guessed that it was around 350 based on the success rate and the assumed success rate formula, but we didn't know.

When the new UI came out, we suddenly knew a lot of trivials that we hadn't known. Those over the max level (250 at the time, 300 now) give us an indication of how likely we are to be able to make something. Sure, we can't reach 335, but we know how often we will succeed a trivial-335 item.

The point is that even at max skill, some items are meant to have a higher than minimal chance of failing.

Some items we are just not meant to be successful at making.
