  • Eggs

Ok so I'm lazy - I'd just buy eggs if there were many avail and will when I see sellers with larger quantities.

But since I don't see many for sale in the Baz for sale....

what's the best place to get eggs?

Several good spots - snake eggs, AE the Paineel newbie yard. Griffon Eggs foraged in EC, can also collect snake eggs there. Foraged Aviak Eggs in Butcherblock, along with snake egg farming. Basilisk Eggs in Jaggedpine near the gnolls will probably give the most bang for your buck - drop often, lotsa critters with fairly quick respawn, and they have a very good dough/batter to egg ratio.

      Gukta

You can purchase snake eggs, 10 per spawn, from Dun Forager Lumun in Gukta. If they have not changed his spawn cycle, he pops at 12am and 12pm game time.

To go along with Aleksandros, the best spot seems to be the JPF Basilisks. Just mass slaughter them, they drop up to 5 at a time.

If you have a forager just forage in Western Wastes, dragon, wurm and drake eggs!

If you have a forager, forage niflik eggs in Gunthak.

Hunt basilisks in lavastorm for basilisk eggs. Also, be sure to check the vendors in lavastorm regularly. When I played on a production server, I got eggs frequently off of them. Of course, that was a long time ago. Been on Test for quite a while now, and we don't have many low level players. So don't know if that's still a good place to find them on vendors.

Basalisks Genitors in Jaggedpine are way the best. You have 20-30 static spawns in the caves by the Gnolls/Gnoll banker etc. You need to kill the PH normal basalisks to spawn a basalisk genitor (seems to be about 3-1 chance on getting a genitor pop). Each genitor drops 1-6 Basalisk eggs and you can make 15 dough clumps/egg batter from each (although EQT says 17). I farm these regular on my 52 ranger ("Lone Ranger" of Povar), they are all green mobs, singles & static. and i get a couple of stacks per hour (enough for 600 batters).

If you can sense animals, finding the basilisks in Lavastorm shouldn't be a problem and they're a cinch to kill.

I haven't been on since they revamped lavastorm, but that is my primary hunting ground for eggs. I can hunt there for less than an hour and get at least five stacks if not more. Much easier than foraging and far, far easier than trying to get Dow Forager to make it to his trading spot. I think I trailed that dang frog for a half hour and he never did stop for me to trade with him. Lavastorm is a good place to get lotsa eggs fast. Good luck!

Make sure you go get up to date maps at EQ-TOOLBOX .. Lavastorm has definately changed.

                      This halfling breaks for basilisks.

I keep getting teased by my guildies because I can't cross lavastorm to do a DoN without stopping to kill any basilisks that cross my path.

I do the exact same thing, except I am almost at the point where I no longer need large supplies of eggs. (299! One more point!)

A basilisks fetish? Ahh prejudice against basilisks. Maybe you were the easter bunny in another life?
