Not yet and I'm about to bash a wall with my head... though mine is on jewelcraft. 255 int (only lvl 52) and it's taken 187 combines for 291, 117 for 292 and now up to 106 trying for 294... ***CRY*** and these combines I just can't bring myself to sell back to a merchant for a couple plat, I'm about to have to make another toon just to hold my inventory.
Guess it's just the nature of the beast now. I'd read a few posts where folks had gone form 250 to 300 in 1500 to 1700 combines. Looks like it's going to take me a few more.
I did manage to get a gain at combine 247, so I'm at 1 gain for 300 combines now. Least I can buy all these supplies. Tailoring is going to be another story
I'm hoping this is just a bad start. I had 300 wis while doing the combines.
Has anyone leveld up to 300 since the " fixed " the gains?
Traz
I went from 218 Baking to 252 baking on Souffles after the tradeskill patch only using about 60 balisk eggs. From there I spent a couple hours last couple nights making MTPs and reaching 265 baking on somewhere near 100 combines with 295 Wisdom. I think you just had a run of bad luck with skillups but most definatly it does seem to be taking a lot longer than others who did the run to 300 prepatch
Theres maybe enough meat to make 30 souffles total in baz on Morell ....
Just imagine MTPs would be much easier, as you dont have to buy anything but the fruit and get eggs and get vegetables and get some brownie parts.
OoW Souffles actually .. I went fishing of the boat in the abysmal sea.... held onto the fish and crabs without breaking them down. Farmed balisk eggs in JP then made up a bunch of beer batter souffles till they trivialed at 252
An hour of fishing followed by an hour of farming eggs worked well. As we can make veggies now souffles I found were the way to 252
I have posted about this in another thread, but it actually took me around 3000 combines to go from 268 to 300 in fletching doing Wood Elf cultural arrows.
405 wisdom all the time. Just to go from 290 to 300 took well over 1000 combines with a success rate of usually around 97 to 98% on combines.
If the materials weren't so easily accessible, I would never have made it.
Personally, I've been doing mainly Omlete Supremes. Averaging 30-40 combines per skill-up & I'm at 290 now.
This is with my level 59 Paladin, 255 Wisdom.
Coarse Salts & Deep Forest Mushrooms run 10-20p each in the Bazaar, but I despise doing the kinds of sub-combines required for Mistys.
Probably gonna break down and do Mistys next though.
What is your WIS at? I must have made a zillion Misties and switched to Hero sandwiches, Jord Pies and Omelets Supreme and now getting a few points. Besides costing me a fortune (coarse salt sells for 100P and above on my server in bazaar, mushrooms not that bad).
So, why would you want to go on to 335 (Misties only choice) when you become master at 300?

As I mentioned, Wisdom 255 (capped).
I've been thinking of moving on to Mistys because I've only got 10 points left until I'm done, and I've got some Brownie parts stashed away. Hero Parts are rare in the Bazaar and 200p+ each, so that's not worth it.
I did do Jord Pies, Vann Soup, etc. intermitently until they trivialled out though.
I also have the makings for 10 more combines of Bristlebane's Party Platters... but I'm saving those for when my Cleric starts Baking, so she'll have some too.
Angelsyn Whitewings, Cleric of Tunare for 66! Seasons.
Grandmistress Smith - 300, Grandmistress Tailor - 300, Potter - 300, Jeweler - 300, Brewer - 200, Baker - 200, Fletcher - 200, Fisherwoman - 169 Keyne Falconer, Paladin of Erollisi Marr for 66 Seasons.
Grandmistress Baker - 300, Grandmistress Blacksmith - 300, Potter - 200, Brewer - 139, Tailor - 91
Hero parts are 80pp on Xev currently with only 1 list for sale in the bazaar. Coarse Salt is running 300-500pp each. Fruit is selling for usually under a plat each. Everything else I can either make/farm/or buy. MTPs seem the best way to go. To help recoup the cost of making them I put them up on a bot char and sell them for 4pp each.
Currently I have made almost 3.5k Picnics and gone from 252 baking to 282 baking with 295 wisdom.
I was getting about 1 skill up every 60 attmepts from 235 to 245 making Beer-Battered Hynid soufflets. Well i must have prayed to the right god because i was setting up to do another 250 attmepts in hopes of getting close to the 252 trival. Low and behold 62 attempts later i trivialed out the soufflets at 252. So just be patient they will come.
