  • Stat Foods at 200?

As any good Merchant, I'd like to offer my customers a better variety.

I am currently a brewer with over 200 skill, not being of a level to even have AA's, I do not see another skill going that high.

Though I consistantly sell out of Fish Rolls with my Stat drinks, I'd like to offer a better meal to the faithful.

Is it worth the time to get my skill to 200 (210 modified)?

Or will any stat foods just fail too often to be worth the headache?

If anyone has any statistics with a similar skill making MTP's Halas Pies etc. that would be fantastic.

I was making halas meat pie since 168 skill. I always have 255 wis (before pop), and it took me all the way to 200 then I used aa and now 250 GM baker. (my first GM skill was pottery).

Once I had 180 or so skill, I don't seem have any hard time with halas meat pie. You should not have any problem if you can get your raw skill to 200. Good luck.

Frost and storm giant steaks. Trivial 135, 1 meat (1sp from vendor), 1 CS sauce and 1 CS spice (I forget exact name) yields 5, sell like hotcakes on SH for 5gp each (and I bet I could go higher if I wanted to).

        My MTP results

Once I maxxed on Centi stuff (trivs at 188), I tried a batch of MTPs. This was with WIS of 255, and a Geerlock, so starting effective skill was 197.

I did 290 combines, total cost was a little less than 350pp (already had the veggies, fruit, brownie parts, and eggs), and I got 5 skillups. I don't remember exactly how many successes I had, but it was about 25 (ie, about 100 actual picnics made). Since my breakeven price would be 3.5pp per picinic, I easily could have sold them for 5-10pp each and made a nice profit.

Actually, I kept them, and am using them instead of paying 10-15pp for them =)

Thank-You Tatan, that is exactly what I needed.

Definately looks like once I hit 200 I'll be good to go on Halas pies, but a 10% success rate, even if profitable, just scares the heck out of me. So for MTP's I probably would just do what you did, one batch, to eat for myself for a very long time.

I hate seeing that many fails, hehe.

The HMPs were getting me better than 50% success at 191 cooking and I wasn't even using a geerlock.

Check out my Stat Foods Page for a list of different stat foods.

The list dose not cross reference how to make the foods of the trivial level "Yet".

200 might be worth it for you. After 200 at baking I figured the next 50 points would come whenever the RNG felt like giving them to me. Anyway, at 206 + geerlok I succeed at over 90% of my pies. Holy cake works well too, and an extra 5 to resists is always a nice bonus, plus you can make plenty of them to pass out to your group/guild/raid to buff them up a little (assuming they don't eat it right away  )

MTP's are another story though. Last run I made I succeeded at 0 out of 40.

at 200 baking I started doing cheesy plant casseroles, cheesy anaconda casseroles and the cheesy griffon casseroles. They trivial at 250 ( or hight..or something..however that works)

with 212 int and one of those handy dandy baking tools ( to have a virtual skill of 210) I was have ~60-75% success rate.

                  Does that help you any?

You can make a number of stat foods at 200 skill with a high # of sucesses. Halas Meat Pies being one of the more popular in most server's Bazaar.

At 250+ spoon, Misty Thicket Picnics very very consistently suceed 50% of attempts. Think I was suceeding around 25% at 200 skill. Might still be viable for sale, would just depend on the price for your server.

For skilling up, I don't recommend any of the Cheesy Casseroles. I rarely, RARELY, if ever got any skill ups off them. I'd get like 1 skill up per 200 combines. They sell ok in the bazaar, sometimes, but not regularly for me.

pre-200 skill I recommend Truffles for skill ups, my skill increased like wildfire on those, and they have a great success rate and sell great for about 2p each.

HMPs... oh I hate those suckers! But they're great for skill ups too, and at 200 you'll have a very nice a success rate, so you'll be able to make some profit.

MTPs are a pain too, and at 250 with 255 wis and geerlock, I still fail an awful lot, but still make plenty of profit. I went from 242 to 250 skillon about 80 Picninc combines (255Wis and geerlock).

If you're able to, Justice Fruit Pies have a super success rate (95% for me), and I've even gotten a few skill ups off them. But they're not something you can sit down and bake stacks of unless you spend A LOT of time in PoJ, lol.

                      Good luck!

Frost giant steaks don't trivial at 136 anymore I don't think.

I made steaks out of the 3 I had and did not get a trivial message.
