Since the name of the other thread isn't specifically the salad it may get missed. Can anyone verify that the missing ingredients are INGAME now?

Just for giggles, I did a search using the new Barter Buyer window ...

a search on 'speck' turned up:
Speckled Clay Handwraps
Speckled Gramite Pebble
and
Speckled Toadstool

a search on 'palm' found:
Emerald Palm Root
and
Kejekan Palm Fruit

sooooooo ~IF~ Speckled Pine Fruit and Palm Leaf are actually IN the game, they have not yet been found on my server - OR - they are no drop items.

(I did a search on 'phase' to see if the no-drop Phase Spider Silk would show up, and it did not. So I presume all no-drop items are not findable in the barter buyer search)

I can almost swear I have seen Palm Leaves in Bazaar on Torv at least once. The name seems to ring a bell, I just cant recall exactly where Ive seen it. Ill check on it.

I belive we got the name from the mass number searches during the aid grimel madness to figure out the party platter let me see if i can dig up the thread, when the new ui came out we pulled the 2 missing items from it along with the spiced heartfruit walnut combine

I dimly recall that Karana's Heartfruit salad was heard of before Aid Grimel, but that people only did the data mining at the time of Aid Grimel because it was thought the salad might be involved in the final combine.
It was the data mining that helped us arrive at the initial subcombines, and which in turn led to the belief that certain items were missing from game.
(Unless they are nodrop and found in Kodtaz or higher GoD, I am reasonably certain they have not been added... unless they are the most obscenely rare items ever conceived!)

Originally, "Karana's Heartfruit Salad" was supposed to have been handed out by a GM that has since retired- and for the life of me I can remember neither the GM name nor the server (I know it wasnt Mithaniel Marr though).

Shameless bump... neither palm leaf nor speckled pine fruit come up under barter search, and neither item has been reported by Lucy.

After watching and waiting for a couple of months, this seems to indicate that they are NOT "now dropping from mobs of the appropriate level".

Given the dubious attribution of the recipe, has there been any further official word on these items?

Wasn't the "Karana Heartfruit Salad" put to rest by someone stating that it's merely mentioned within the context of EQ-lore, but not an actual recipe? I'm unsure of where I read it. Even if it's not the case, perhaps it's best thought of that way -- for sanity's sake.

Then again, I can't let go the thought that Chowderly may be hiding something from me, if I could only find out what faction he's on as well as find a Vah Shir Master Baker... =D
