Spiced Heartfruit - mixing bowl

---Heartfruit Walnut - foraged in HoHb
---Cinnamon sticks - foraged in gfay

Emerald Leaf Greens - mixing bowl
---Emerald Tea Leaf
---Waterleaf Scale
---Speckled Pine Fruit (MIA)
Gonna play wih this one there is a new forage in EJ for the druid epic1.5 called Emerald Leaf very annoying to forage need to get an extra one to play with with these various combines

Palm Leaf Oil - Brew Barrel
---Water Flask
---Palm Leaf (MIA)

Moonstone Tear
---Moonstone Crystal - Drop in PoI from random yard trash
---Rain water - foraged in BoT, or droped in splitpaw

Rainwater Dressing
(assuming)
--Moonstone tear
--Palmleaf oil

Waterleaf Scale
Its gotta fit in there someplace one of the sub-combines or maybe not until the final combine

Spiced Heartfruit Greens
(assuming)
--Spiced heart fruit
--emerald leaf greens
--(maybe the waterleaf scale)

Mind you we dont know many of the later combines for certain and we still cant move much further past this unless the 2 MiA items are found or the recipes are altered to allow combines with items allready in the game

Just figured id toss this in becasue there is so much searching for the odd epic items seeded around maybe they snuck our missing stuff in

I'm with you on this one Kaycie, it has been something I have always kept in the back of my mind.

Really do wish they would put the items in game so we could at least have a chance at this, but it seems they love to just tease us and never reward us =/

Well, since they have stated that in the very near future (forthcoming patches, not live yet), they will be addressing the concerns from the top ten list, and one of them is the missing Speckled Pine Fruit and Palm Leaf , we may actually see the Heartfruit salad come to life before the launch of EQ3.
I don't even play anymore and it still irks me to know what it and it's stats will be (god, I hope it's not another Brodder's Revenge... LOL!)

The 5th item in the top 10 list was recipes with missing ingredients, including: Karana's Heartfruit Salad (missing Speckled Pine Fruit and Palm Leaf)

Maddoc's response to that item was:

Each of the items on this list now drop in game off of appropriate NPC's

So it's now a question of finding where these come from, or perhaps which npcs are deemed appropriate to drop them.

So... where would this stuff supposedly drop? PoP is a deserted wasteland on Test.

wasn't this a kunark-era recipe? That's where I'd think to start. Just a guess though. Not that that couldn't have changed between original design and actual implementation now.

Try the 3 PoP zones mentioned above, especially BoThunder, it's a PoP-era recipe and since it is Karana's salad, the components might drop in BoT where he's being held prisoner...

Splitpaw and MM can likely be elimintated, or at least moved to the bottom of the list. They were patched because of the revamp to them on legends (and will be revamped on live in january).
Mae's reasoning sounds good to me. Will have to get used to foraging there again. *giggles* Evil thunder stones and rain water. bah!

Are we absolutely certain that the chr files refer to mob loot tables?
I dont understand much about client-side/server-side information and the way things work, but I know a new drop (silken cloth I think?) reported from loathesome creeper in Nightmare supposedly a new drop with patch (Nightmare chr NOT updated)... and there is a new lvl 70 mob in BoT (see latest Allakhazam update) that drops a lore/no drop "Ancient Tome of Future Lore" with as yet unknown use.

This suggests to me that chr files may relate more to mobs than to their loot tables?

In which case, shouldn't we also consider the traditional places where pine trees and palms grow... eg Jaggedpine, Nedaria's, Stonebrunt, Hollowshade, Emerald Jungle...

Based on the file extension, the *.chr files might contain information telling EQ to import characters (more accurately, mob models) specified in another zone file. That's purely a guess, though.

So, Since the missing ingredients are now supposed to drop or be found in the appropriate area/mobs.. has anyone even SEEN the missing ingredients yet?

Nothing new on this if they did indeed add in the missing drops they made them horibly obsure, I didnt want them to be as annoying as the woodspider thorax's that now drop from every low lvl spider in the game i just wanted either a bump to forages or drops etc.

I check Lucy alot and nothing new for either of the missing items peachy
