From: Ice Cream is Good - Part 2

The basic ingredients for ice cream are pretty simple, especially if you have a nephew that is a world traveler.

1 Bottle of Milk
1 Cream
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Kelp Salts
1 Ice of Velious

Now that by itself isn't enough. That stuff is pretty bland. To make it really good try adding some of these things:

Dried Vanilla Beans
Chocolate (with or without mint)
Marr Cherries
Lemon
Generic Coffee Beans
Timorous Coconut
Berries

You can even add nuts to the mix. We've tried these with good results (well, the wife likes them anyhow).

Bag of Caynar Nuts
Heartfruit Walnut
Kiola Nut
Golanda Nut

It goes on to talk about Fried Ice Cream?

Ice Cream (one bowl of any flavor you choose)
Load of Bread (he stuffs the ice cream into the bread to keep it together)
Vegetable Oil (looked like about 3 cups)
Frosting (drizzle on top)

And adding ice cream to Stormguard Root Beer.

Then these last two tidbits:

Another brewer told me that putting osme ice cream into a sturdy cask with more ice from velious and a bottle of milk and shaking it up real hard you get something he called, ceatively, a 'shake'. I haven't tried this one yet, but it sounds interesting.

There's one more recipe that I'm going to try for the wife's birthday. A couple bowls of ice cream, a clump of dough carefully placed in a cake round should make for a mighty tasty cake!

Sounds like a lot of fun! Now if I can just figure out how to make the ice cream turner, and get the right drops!

During one of the Dev chats they were asked why tinkering was ignored. They said it wasnt and they will only say that "ice cream is good". So I think there may be a tinkered ice cream maker for these recipies.

the Icecream churn does not have the new tradeskill interface on it, so I do not know the trivial, maybe you can ask the devs to fix that.
It is a tasty treat, still hunting more kelp salts and ice of velious, will post info on more kinds of icecream when I make them.
Edit: Made some other flavors, all have same stats, even when fried the stat stays at +5 SV Fire. Tried making some with the foraged stat food from OoW, but wnc.
Fried version says can be used in tradeskills, so wondering what the next step might be.....

Ice Cream Churn...

Hmm - No one on my server has even heard of such a beast - or the Gnomish Ice Cream Maker.

I'm sitting here with GM Baking, and not a scoop of mmmm mmm good ice cream to spare.

Also - if these recipes are verified (as many have full recipe posted), why is there not a Baking section in the main recipe section under OoW?

Tinkering recipe for the Ice Cream Churn was posted in the OoW Submissions forum, but not in the Tinkering sub for some reason.

Still, we should be seeing more recipes soon since it's been made. I attempted one last night (er... my tinker did), but failed.

more will be discovered I'm sure, as more churns are made. But the components for the churn seem quite rare. I've yet to even hear of any friends finding an icy Geli hide. Neither the hide nor the tentacles have been seen in baz yet either. Ah well. More time to collect ice of velious ;-)

Did it have to be Kelp Salts...?

I just hope they either give us more sources for Kelp Salts, or at least make them droppable. It's easy to kill herds of tortoises (at least for my druid), but the salts are an uncommon drop, and it gets tedious really fast....
