  • Plant Shoot Foraging

Plant Shoots are foraged in Jaggedpine and Nedaria's.... can anyone confirm if they are foraged more often in one zone as opposed to the other? I am looking to raise baking inexpensively past 200, and the Jaggedpine stir fry, anaconda stiry fry, etc.. seem to be the least expensive...

    ANy tips or comments appreciated.

They seemed to me to be equally (in)frequent in both zones. Remember there are approximately 5 no-drop junk forages in both zones - as well as the normal generic roots etc - and these are foraged much more frequently.

To stop yourself going completely mad..

Fill a no rent bag with 2 of each unstacked no drop junk item, so each one goes into the same bag when you auto-inventory. (I have a button that forages then auto-inventories) When it's full you can destroy it with one hit.

It's probably better to forage in JP, that way at least you can kill anacondas and griffons too.

If you're looking for a cheap skill-up path, consider GoD baking - you can use up all the veggies you're getting.

I would so tell you Misty Picnics if you want to be cheap. Plus they turn a profit on most servers. I took a baker mule from 1-249 for under 1k. Have since kept making MTP to sell on same character.

If you're just needing plant shoots and anaconda/griffon meats and XP is NOT an issue, forage/kill in Nedaria's... with the mobs' level set somewhere in the 30's, you can kill alot more, faster, without the faction hits in Nedaria's than you can in JP. I take my 31 druid to nedaria's and kill/forage there.. and during downtime, I fish there for Thunder Salmon. if I need meats fast, run my 65 bard there and aoe chant kite as fast as I can foraging as I kite.. either way, faster and easier than JP.

You don't take faction hits for killing Anaconda's or Griffons there. All you really need to do is get to one of the open spots, my Ranger prefers the trail, and kite there. The animals will only attack if you are not Tunare I think. Using a animal illsuion helped my Shaman there.

Wow it has been a while and I can't remember this precisely- I know the animals there like druids and rangers and I think they preferred wolf form over my regular pie-filled appearance. Griffons are just rude all the time. My kitty beastlord seems to be OK with animals in Nedaria's - I don't know if it is a kitty thing or a beastlord thing.

The other thing is to make sure to vendor mine - you can sometimes catch stacks of plant shoots on the JPF vendors, sold by people just trying to clear inventory. *sigh*

GOD baking has taken me all the way to 210. I just fished in Natimbi by the shore. My druid is only 42. I was able to do the crab and tuna rolls fairly cheaply and I believe those go all the way to 210 or somewhere around there. I was able to sell a lot of these also in the bazaar for 3 to 4pp each.

There is a high level ranger in my guild that was gracious enough to give me the cragbeast and hynid meat that he foraged so I was also able to make hynid and cragbeast steaks, which also sold well in the bazaar.
