Hey there everyone!

First off I want to thank all the members of the EQTC message boards for their posts, as you all have helped me get where I am NOW! Im new here but Ive been floating around for a good while. Anywhoo.. heres where Im left.

Right now I am at 155 baking. Im gonna continue doing Patty Melts until they trivial, but after that Im not sure what I should do as their are a few path's. First realize, that any money I have will need to be farmed for because Caethe = broke. Badly!

On one hand I can run straight through using Misty Thicket Picnic's. This *seems* to be a good idea because its "up there" in skill level so in theory, skill up will be faster even though the success rate will be a little lower. Also it seems like the prep work though lengthy, leads to good yields. From how I understand it about 80% of the combines leading up to the picnic, yield anywhere between 4 and 20 pieces. And that means more combines for the effort, and in theory... more finished picnics (so more to sell).

Or... I could do Halas Pies. Though this sounds more expensive. Theres also the little annoyance of farming Mammoth's.

i'd reccommend that you start hunting in JP, get as much anaconda meat as ya can, and farm the baskilisk cave for baskilisk eggs, once ya have a decent amount of eggs (severals stacks) then start on halas pies, after they triv at 228, start on pattimelts again, only now use the anaconda meat. anaconda patty melts triv at >250.

I bought 16 Brownie meats in the bazaar. Cheap

2 Wurm eggs for dough that were foraged in a ToV raid

Bought frequent stacks of vegetables

3 Stacks of fruit (And I still aint used all the sandwiches)

Everything else for MTP's is vendor bought. For about 400pp total you can garner enough supplies (Depending on your other tradeskill levels) to make almost 200 combine attempts.

All that took me to 250 baking.

Everything can be done with next to no farming, and you don't have to leave shadowhaven to get the job done.

MTP's are the way to go as far as I am concerned. It worked well for me, and I didn't have to chase down mammoth and wolf meat. I just hit the bazaar when I needed more vegetables.

assuming you have the non-vendor components (brownie parts, veggies, fruit), and your tailoring/smithing skills are 20ish past trivial on the basket sub components (which is quite low), you should be able to do a batch of 200 combines for around 230-235p

21 eucalpytus - ~86p
21 fennel - ~45p
44 mandrake - ~93p
45 jum jum stalks - ~3p
everything else - <5p

total: <232p

Yields will be horrific if you try below 200 skill (unmodified skill, don't count the geerlok), and won't approach decent until 220-225 skill. However, considering the amount of subcombines associated with halas pies, I went the picnic route, and am VERY glad I did.

If you can forage then you can do the truffles to 202 and then the plant shoot recipes.

Otherwise you're looking at the pies and then the MTPs - your success rate with the MTPs is only going to be 1 in 20 on average and they're a bit pricier than the pies to make, although, atleast on my server, they sell for more than the pies.

200 combines took me up ~ 3 skill points. Your results may vary, of course.

Since you can forage (ranger, right?) I'd say do Truffles to 202. Cheapest ingredients, simplest combines, one trip to CS will get you enough algae to make hundreds and hundreds of attempts. Just xp on the moon, and keep hitting that forage button. You'll have stacks of mushrooms in no time.
