I just searched the database on the main site (www.eqtraders.com) and it tells me there are no known recipes that use this item, IE. we don't know what they're for. Yet.

I found the recipe in the first place because its the only one that uses Shissar eggs Nothing on Allas either except the recipe itself. Guess I will hang on the the eggs a while longer, just managed to clean out the bank a little too and there it goes filling up again!

There are half a dozen or so recipes that use Tuna Meat, and Rare/Weird Ingrediants.

Someone made the Chef's Cakes once, and handed them to the Chef, and he ate(err.. Took without confirming) them, indiciating that it's a partial turn-in for a quest.

Anyone figured out what factions he's on?

I'll try and get a guild enchanter to play with him tonight, to see if faction boosting spells and/or illusions will help. I seem to recall there's other NPCs on board the ship that give out the "I won't help beings like you" message when hailed - any idea what faction they're on/who they are?

I can't think of a single NPC on the ship that's affected by any faction-raising spells/songs. Items such as the Taelosian Morphemic Staff would probably work, though, provided the NPC is on Yunjo Slave Resistance or Nihil factions.

P.S. I miss your posts in a.g.e., Delores!

Actually I only handed Chef Chowderly the Taelosian Tuna Kabobs - he ate them without saying anything. He gave me back anything else I tried with the I have no use for this item message - including the only other weird tuna recipe I had at the time - Spicy Tuna Sandwiches. Never got a chance to make the Pan Seared Orange Tuna (since I don't have a Vah Shir Rogue) or the Delightful Tuna Cakes (never managed to get any shissar eggs) or the Tuna Rice Surprise (forgot to try it).

He doesn't seem to be a part of the BiC quest and nothing I have ever done seems to change factions with anyone on the ship.

              Good luck!

If the troubling issue is that the tuna cakes are tradeskill flagged but have no recipe, a straight turn in is perhaps not the answer. A picnic-type combine, maybe?

Sounds like it.... wonder what else we need for the picnic?

Well the four tuna recipes with tradeskill tags are (I know I just listed them in the other note above):

Taelosian Tuna Kabobs (require no drop component from Dawnshroud)
Chowderly's Delightful Tuna Cakes (require no drop component from Ssra)
Pan Seared Orange Tuna (require a no drop large cooking pot from Vah Shir rogue class quest)
Spicy Tuna Sandwiches (nothing no drop in recipe)

I don't remember seeing any other tradeskill tagged GoD baking or brewing recipes. So maybe it is a tuna themed buffet or a tuna based picnic since Chowderly is a halfling. I would think a mellow jum jum wine would go better with tuna than a jum jum spiced beer. But halflings have an odd epicurean sensibility so who knows.

For brewing you can add the quested Cristov's Finest Red Wine (working from memory, that name may not be 100% accurate). I believe the plain "Cristov's Red Wine" is also tagged.

My hopes are that the Chowderly recipies will combine to become party platter v2.0.

Chef Chowderly is more hungry after server reset

OK was able to try out more things to feed our stubborn halfling chef after making a Vah Shir rogue baking mule (sigh)

He eats without any sort of response:
                            Tuna Rice Surprise
                            Pan Seared Orange Tuna
                            Taelosian Tuna Kabobs
                            Spicy Tuna Salad Sandwiches

BUT ONLY ONE! after he eats one he turns away the second one offered

I still have not managed to make the Delightful Tuna Cakes (evil shissar aren't breeding when I visit)

He turns away foraged food and even (gasp) Misty Thicket Picnics.

I also tried a few combinations of the tuna treats and had no luck in spit or mixing bowl.
