I have yet to try the MTP, I cringe at the thought of needing brownie parts. I've done a bit of HMP but I got soo loaded up with them so quick i had to stop. the advantage of the souffles is that they dont pile up so quick. you can go thru 20 final combines and end with 1 stack. with hmps your looking at 6 stacks. I dont have that much bank room sadly.

      Melinia,

Iirc, one brownie part is good for up to 100 MTP attempts; you don't need many of them. Filling up my storage with MTPs without skillups was another reason to find something else.

And every good halfling knows that if you do you final combines in Rivervale, you can kill the nasty brownie Nillipus to replace your brownie parts. And you get to enjoy good music.

GoD souffle is by far the best, there is a small market for them, but you can turn them in for faction and a reasonable amount of xp in Riwwi.
Getting from dubious to warmly (maybe 2 bags of food) got me over 2 AAs.

The simplest way to get Brownie parts is to book into Steamfont, run up to the windmill area, and kill mountain brownies. About 1 in 2 drop brownie parts; it is a low level zone, so unless you are under 20 or so, nothing much is going to be a problem. Also, a lot of times the vendors in the windmills have brownie parts on them If you are zoning into LFay for brownie parts, I cringe with you-that unicorn has me on perma-track, I just know it.

I persanlly disagree that MTP's are easier than halas meat pies, brownie parts are not exactly *Common drop* per se, but just that the MTP's take up sooooo much sapce for 100 combines is really annoying to me, but I prefer smaller runs generally. The only part that is hard to get is mammoth meat for Halas meat pies, MTP's require a number of forages(I'm a non-forager) and also drops.

When I did a test run of MTP's I almost destroyed all the stuff to go back to Halas meat pies, I found it so tedious. Either way, I haven't tried Pop or GoD baking yet, but they look a lot more appealing

PoP baking is generally MUCH easier than old-world baking, when looking at number of combines and subcombines. The difficulty in PoP baking is in finding enough drops to justify a skillup run. When I was working on baking, I set a plat limit per combine that I was willing to lose, and bought any PoP bakables in the bazaar for less than that limit. It cost me some cash, sure, but I was able to make a goodly bit of it back by selling some of the produce -- justice (now planar) fruit pies and hero sandwiches in particular.

Something you can try in your free time: head over to BoT and /auction to buy Vann toes and Jord meat. You might be able to pick up a stack or two cheaply, and both are very simple to bake and trivial over 250.

i'm not sure how anyone can say brownie parts are rare. maybe back in the day before luclin, but atm (i'm actually hunting brownies at the lfay camp) i'm averaging about 3 in 4 and have 39.

they used to be incredibly rare, but now they're practically always drop.

for me the hard part is the veges now...course, back when i raised on MTPs they went for 1pp at most in bazaar...now with those souffles in GoD, they got inflated to 10 each.

i prefer mtps because they're just so **** easy to get all the parts for

I always log my Bazaar bot first to check for such things as vegies. Some times the price on MT is ridiculous - 20pp - but usually (and very recently), I pick up a stack or two for less than 4pp each (I won't pay more than 3pp) and frequently less than 1pp(!). For me, MTPs require too much running around, take up too much space, and have too high a failure rate. For Gates recipes it's a very quick, safe trip to Natimbi (if you have trouble fishing Abysmal Sea) to fish/forage some seafood/meats and port back to AS with every thing you need in one room. Now that is convience.
