• New Toy!

Well, not really a toy, but I haven't been able to stop playing with it...

New proud owner of the Grandmaster's Baking Spoon. I can't describe my overwhelming relief when I hit combine and saw it on my cursor.../sigh

Skill 241 and a Geerlok, first attempt. Made the Artisan's Seal myself with my pottery/jewelry alts. Only failed once on mounting the Jacinth (700pp failure). Would have just bought the seal, but 6500pp, come on...Cost me 4400, including the failure.

Ok, congrats on the spoon and all, but as the purveyor of Yalum's Gauranteed No-Fail Artisan's Seals* at the low, low price of 7k each, I can't let that little crack slide.

It may have cost you 4400 (and at that price you must have had some of the gems already, they're not worth 0pp even if you loot them though), but it could have easily cost you two or three times that. About 1 person in 10 will fail a seal on the wheel or kiln combine, so consider that extra 2k insurance, spend it now and you don't have to roll the dice and come up having to spend another 5k on a new seal. And the convenience? Not having to do all the running around and clicking and mana purifying? Why, that's free! My gift to you! I don't know how I stay in business...

Thank you all kindly. 8)

Hehe, ok ok. I'll give you that the price is justified, but after listening to others and their multiple attempts I assumed I would have to try a few times before I received the "Holy Grail" of baking. I also knew that in my current financial situation there wouldn't be a way for me to try again for quite a while if I failed. Unless, that is, I made the Seal myself.

Just as a side note, though, I bought everything I needed to make the Seal in the Bazaar except for the first Jacinth and the velium bars, both bought off the jewelry merch in Thurg. A quick breakdown:

Artisan's Seal:
Velium Bars x 8= ~2100 (depending on CHA and faction)
Black Sapphire = 200 in Bazaar
Diamond = 200 in Bazaar
Blue Diamond = 500 in Bazaar (fluctuating recently, but this is a decent price)
Jacinth = 200 in Bazaar (about the same for one on Merch)
Vial of Purified Mana = 650 in Bazaar

Total = 3850*

I can see where you would want to have someone else take the risk of the creation of the Seal, but to me its just not worth 3100 more. Thats the whole reason I have alts with tradeskills, so I don't have to pay that kind of markup. But if you don't have the ability to make it yourself, what do you do? In no way trying to slam you for your pricing, just pointing out why I went the route I did. :P

This will almost never ever ever be the case.

4 * 133 = 532p for the rubies.

Plus a plat or so for the vial.

If I were a 49+ ENC, I wouldnt sell these for a loss.

My apologies, you are indeed correct. Personally I had an Enc summon one up for me if I brought him the components. I actually had 2 offer me their free services when I asked in /ooc. Being that there wasn't any up in the Bazaar when I needed it (ergo why I needed to /ooc) but was told going rate was ~500pp. Just checked in the Bazaar...650pp.

Ty Lilosh. Will edit original...
