  • Is there a Mathematician out there?

    I have noticed a definite pattern in the GoD baking recipes.

    Cragbeast gives Sta, Wis
    Crab gives Str, Dex
    Tuna gives Cha, Int
    Hynid gives Sta, Agi

    Pies and Soufflés give Dis, Poi
    Steaks give Fire, Cold
    Sandwiches five Fire, Magic

    Beer-battered gives more stats than Garlic buttered, and so on

    My problem is, I can see the pattern, and I am certain the numbers are constant, but I cant quite figure out the exact numbers.

    Can anyone take a look at it and figure it out?

    Step 1: Determine type of meat and what is it primary and secondary stat
    that it modifies.
    PHP Code:
    Meat   Pri  Sec Type
    --------------------
    Crab   Str  Dex 1
    Tuna   Cha  Int 1
    Crag   Wis  Sta 2
    Hynid  Agi  Sta 2

    Step 2: Determine Primary and secondary save. Look under kind of meat till
    you find type of dish making then look to left to see that dishes values.
    Then using the type of meat determing the Max value for that dish.
    PHP Code:
     Saves | Type of Dish | Max
    -------+--------------------------------+-----
    Pri Sec|Crab    Crag    Hynid   Tuna    |1   2
    -------+--------------------------------+-----
    MR CR |Appitiz Kabob Kabob Salad |4 4
    DR  MR |Cake    -       -       Cake    |12  -
    PR DR |Pie Pie Pie Pie |16 16
    FR CR |Roll Steak Steak Roll |8 12
    FR MR |Sandwh Sandwh Sandwh Sandwh |4 16
    DR PR |Souffle Souffle Souffle Souffle |10 16
    CR MR |Soup Soup Soup Soup |10 8
    PR FR |Steak Jerky Jerky Steak |12 8
    CR FR |Stew Stew Stew Stew |8 4

    Step 3: Use the Style of cooking to determine the stat numbers you will
    place in each value.

    Type 1
    PHP Code:
    Name           |Pri-st|Sec-st|Pri-sv|Sec-sv|Factor|HPF|MPF
    ---------------+------+------+------+------+------+---+---
    Beer-Battered  |   4  |   2  |   5  |   2  |   1  | 1 | 1
    Beer-Braised   |   4  |   2  |   4  |   2  |   1  |.5 | 1
    Barbequed      |   3  |   2  |   4  |   2  |   1  | 1 |.5
    Lemon Buttered |   3  |   2  |   3  |   2  | .75  |.5 | 1
    Garlic Buttered|   2  |   1  |   3  |   1  | .75  | 1 |.5
    Buttered       |   2  |   1  |   2  |   1  |  .5  |.5 | 1
    Smoked         |   1  |   1  |   2  |   1  |  .5  | 1 |.5
    Spiced         |   1  |   1  |   1  |   1  | .25  | 0 | 1
    Grilled        |   0  |   0  |   1  |   0  | .25  | 1 | 0

    Type 2:
    PHP Code:
    Name           |Pri-st|Sec-st|Pri-sv|Sec-sv|Factor|HPF|MPF
    ---------------+------+------+------+------+------+---+---
    Beer-Battered  |   7  |   5  |   9  |   5  |   1  | 1 | 1
    Beer-Braised   |   6  |   4  |   8  |   4  |   1  |.5 | 1
    Barbequed      |   5  |   4  |   7  |   4  |   1  | 1 |.5
    Lemon Buttered |   5  |   3  |   6  |   3  | .75  |.5 | 1
    Garlic Buttered|   4  |   3  |   5  |   3  | .75  | 1 |.5
    Buttered       |   3  |   2  |   4  |   2  |  .5  |.5 | 1
    Smoked         |   2  |   2  |   3  |   2  |  .5  | 1 |.5
    Spiced         |   2  |   1  |   2  |   1  | .25  | 0 | 1
    Grilled        |   1  |   1  |   1  |   1  | .25  | 1 | 0

    Step 4: HP and Mana formula
    PHP Code:
    HP   = (Max * factor) * hpf
    Mana = (Max * factor) * hpf

    Step 5: Combine
    Example:
    So now how to use this:
    Lets say I want to know stats on Lemon-Buttered Hynid Pie.
    Step 1:
    PHP Code:
    Type = 2
    Pri stat = Agi
    Sec stat = Sta

    Step 2:
    PHP Code:
    Pri save = PR
    Sec save = DR
    Max      = 16

    Step 3:
    PHP Code:
    Pri stat = 5
    Sec stat = 3
    Pri save = 6
    Sec save = 3
    factor   = .75
    hpf      = .5
    mpf      = 1

    Step 4:
    PHP Code:
    Agi = Pri stat = 5
    Sta = Sec stat = 3
    PR  = Pri save = 6
    DR  = Sec save = 3
    HP  = (16 * .75) * .5 =  6
    MP  = (16 * .75) *  1 = 12

    Therefore:
    Lemon-Buttered Hynid Pie has the following stats:
    Agi: +5 Sta: +3 Sv Poison: +6 Sv Disease: +3 HP: +6 Mana: +12
    Hope this helps, and I hope I can edit this since I am bound to have made
    mistakes.
    -Tanik

    Edit: Figured out forumla for HP and Mana. Changed example to show more.
