  • A Profit??

Well, I initially got into baking years ago to turn a profit on a new server by making fish rolls (or fish somethings)...

I could buy the items and sell them back at a gp profit. I did this when a guild mate was practicing his blacksmithing and he was selling banded before basically anyone else was.

Well, I just started getting back into it. I was wondering though... Is there any food I can sell to venders at a profit? How about ones that I can buy the items?

I hate selling the wyvern meat, I would like to know if I could move to an area and hunt and make more of a profit if I bake when I'm there... Or better yet if I can just buy items to convert to cash. (pottery used to be good... any other trades good?)
    thanks

    No

There are two rules in EQ.

There should be no profitable combines (SoE rule.)

The ones that are made public do eventually get removed.

The only exception is one like jewelcraft were you must enchant the item first.

      Centi stew and steaks

You don't state your class and level, so I'm not sure where you hunt, but I have hunted the umbrous toilers in ME a lot. They drop Centi meat and Centi Toes, which can be turned into Centi Steaks and Centi Toe Stew.

The ingredients for each are almost free, they are so cheap (spices, jug o sauces, milk), and the drops are free, so you can make these foods for very little cost. And since both are stat enhancing foods (STR and HP), you should have little trouble selling the food in the Bazaar (I sold all I could make).

Now that I have trivialed these items (both 188), I just sell the raw meat and toes for half the price I charged for the baked items. I make less, but don't have to do all the extra clicks, and now another baker can skillup to 188 =).
