  • Brownie Parts

    Hi all,

    Aspiring baker here....

My question is this Am I correct in thinking that this Nillipus person in Rivervale sells Brownie Parts? Or are they dropped items only from, well... Brownies. If this Nillipus person does sell Browie Parts, where in Rivervale can I find him/her?

    Thanks for any help!

    Nillipus

Nillipus is a brownie. If you kill him you can loot brownie parts off of him. No faction hit. He pops up in Rivervale every once in a while (I don't know the exact spawn rate but it's every couple of hours) I do all my baking in Rivervale, then I'm right there when he runs past.

      Brownie Parts

You'll have better luck hunting brownies in Lesser Faydark. If you are a druid, cast wolf form on yourself as you enter the zone, less aggro. There's a certain spot where they all like to hang out, check www.eqatlas.com for the exact location. Occassionally you'll also run across high level druids camping the "Epic Brownie", they may have some extra parts they could pass your way.

Steamfont is the place to go for brownie parts. Not too long ago when the gnome newbie quests were added, they also added many new spawns including mountain brownies. These brownies are low level, probably level 8-12 or so and drop brownie parts about every other kill. If you dont feel like searching for them, try looking on the merchants or auctioning in the zone. I was able to get a stack or so in a short period of time.

The browniw village in Lfey is the place to go. There are 2 high level guards, still D Blue to me at 56. There are 3 brownies inside, and a brownie farmer. They spawn every 20 mins, which means, nearly a stack an hour

          Thats a lot of chocolate

            Brownie parts

Lfay is a good place for brownie parts, just make sure Equestrielle is not nearby. The Brownie camp and the nearby pixie tower with brownie outcasts are two great spots Happy hunting!

Stack an hour? In Steamfont, if you clear everything near the mines, you'll get a stack in less than half that easily...

Or another place would be around the Butcherblock Zone line in Gfay... Uncommon spawn but if you keep clearing it you get brownie scouts, very low level

                    Steamfont

I was taking that advice for Brownies in Steamfont today when I happened upon another high level character farming for iron oxide. He was polite but made it clear the area was his. I'm not one to argue (at least I try not to ) so I moved on. As I recall, that area is always camped for iron oxide. Apparently you're lucky to find it open. I asked him about Brownie sightings and he mentioned that the spawn rate for them has decreased dramatically and that after a few hours he only had seen a "few." Not sure if this is true or not, he might have just been trying to discourage me from waiting. Unfortunately I don't think I could take the Brownie village in LFay, although if I can't get a healthy enough supply in the Bazaar I may just have to throw caution to the wind.

One side note, I mentioned to the one camping in Steamfont that iron oxide now drops off of elementals in TS, off of Fire and Earth for sure, possibly the others. Was questioning the drop rate to see if it measured up to TS (5 in 4 hours of pulling all elementals, might have had more if I pulled only Fire and Earth). Anyone know which is better? That way, the next time I come across an iron oxide farmer I can provide this info, perhaps to gain favor...hehe.

Stack in less than a hour for steamfont?

No way, they are rare, and getting rarer by the day.

Unless Iron Oxide drops off of Brownies (does it?) would it matter if you were both farming the same area? I was thinking of trying that area as well for Brownie Parts...

I know some folks swear by it, but I have never gotten more than 2-3 brownie parts in Steamfont. They share the same spawn table with all the other low level mobs, so you need to clear everything to get them to pop. The elementals that also spawn there drop the oxides occasionally, so the area is perma farmed.

Im tellin ya, hit the bazaar.

I bought 16 Brownie meats there for something like 50pp total, and those 16 meats have lasted me around 2 months about about ohhhhh 800 Combines or so? Im still not through all the cakes I originally made when I started out at 191 Baking making MTP's for skillups, and Im now at 233.

Hehe, Eriste, I don't think it was a concern whether or not I would get one of his iron oxide drops from a Brownie. He was about 10 levels higher than myself and literally dropping everything in seconds. I guess it was a feeling of intimidation. I thought since he was a much higher level and able to drop a mob before I even knew it was there, paired with his obvious possessiveness over the area, I felt there was no way I was going to even have a chance to grab anything. When I mentioned the Brownies, he tried to play down the idea that they were in any abundance there. Was hoping I could try to convince the next person that iron oxide does drop more frequently in TS, that is, if its true.

At any rate, I did purchase 1 Brownie part, and that, along with the one I had in the bank, got me 5 skill ups. Although it did take me all day to do it... I have had my banker on all day, trying to get some extra $$ for all of this and the only other Brownie parts that have been put are those trying to squeeze people like me into paying 25pp a piece. Looks like I'll have to head to LFay and take my chances with the little devils...
