Crawdads

I read that crawdads can be fished in the Plane of Nightmare. However, I cannot find a safe area free of wandering monsters that I can fish in without getting tossed around like a pancake. Any ideas?

Also fished in Plane of Valor, much safer than nightmare. If you have no acess to Valor the place to go is the docks in Nightmare. No mobs wander by and as long as no groups are pulling there it is as safe as it gets in that zone. South end of the river also is fairly safe if you can get there, stay away from the sharilugs, but there is a small area with no stationary or wandering mobs.

Is it possible for the low level minor illusion or tree illusion to work there? That might be a safe way to fish for those who can't FD.

There is one safe place to fish in PoN that I have found but it takes a full group to get there. If you have been to the Hobgoblin caves, you know that once you fight your way in and go through the tunnel you come up in a little pool. If you are careful not to go to far out and aggro the two goblins that spawn at the top of the cliff you can fish to your heart's content in that little pool. If you see a whole group going in to work the caves, maybe you can hitch a safe ride to the pool.

The dock in PoN

Go invis & get lev or DMF. Go from zone in (back to wall) go diagonally right. Avoid any monsters but ravens because they see invis.

They'll be a drop off & there's a dock down there. You can fish there safely. If you get aggord by minnows ehile skimming the water make sure & camp out aggro first.

Nightmare Dock

Facing the dock from the cliff/water, slightly to the left are a few rocks. It's a tight squeeze between the croc and some of the roaming wraiths, but no roamers and no minnows aggro'd me there for about an hour of fishing time.

There's a few other places along the shore between croc spawns you can hit as well.
