A training suit is a set of gear specifically aimed at getting your int or wis as high as possible. For some classes, this isn't really needed, since their normal gear tends to up these attributes (wis and int casters). But for most melee, their gear tends to lean more towards hp/ac/str/dex/agi. So, in order to get the best results when training a skill, they wear a special set of gear they get only for that purpose.

In order to make some suggestions on what might be a good training suit for you, we'd need to know your class/race/level and an approximate budget

      Dryanna – 60 Druid
Luvli Erdenyu – 63 Ogre Shaman
Bogonia Swampflower – 62 Froggy Warrior
Moire Molloy - 56 Barbie Rogue
And a whole slew of other dollies on Povar

If by training suit you mean a set of armor that boosts the stats needed to increase skillup rates, you are looking for INT or WIS gear. If you are already a magic-using class, your mana pool is geared toward one or other. If so, buy whatever equipment brings that stat up.

Otherwise, if you are pure melee (warrior, rogue, monk), I recommend increasing WIS, as it is generally more plentiful, and thus cheaper, than INT gear. The simplest way to increase either stat for tradeskills is go to the Bazaar and run a search by slot for WIS/INT gear and buy whatever is the best value for your budget.

        Good luck.

Being a mage, you are classified as "INT caster." Your mana pool depends on the amount of INT you have. Over most of the course of your EQ life, especially the early stages, you will want to focus on gathering as much +INT equipment as you can, which will also help tradeskills. Again, go to the Bazaar and see what you can come up with that is within your budget. The more you bake, the more you will be able to make items that are useful to other players that they will want to buy, and you can put the profits back into equipment that will add to your INT.

            Good luck with the Baking.

And don’t forget about stat food and drink when you work on skill ups. Even if you can’t afford to use these on a regular basis they can give you a good boost while working on trade skills. Buy yourself at least two Misty Thicket Picnics and two Qeynos Afternoon Teas. These give you +5 intelligence each for a total of +10 intelligence. The reason I suggest buying at least two of each of these is because it’s inevitable that you’ll forget to stuff yourself with regular food and drink during one of your sessions and you’ll accidentally eat and/or drink one. But if you have at least two you’ll still have you intelligence bonus while you finish up your current trade skill run.

And in case you aren’t familiar with how stat foods work, here’s a brief explanation from the baking fAQ:

Q: I have a food item with stats on it, but when I force-feed it, I don't see any changes in my stats. Am I bugged?

A: No, you're just handling your stat food incorrectly. To achieve the stat bonus of a stat enhancing food, the stat enhancing food must be ahead of any other food in your inventory so that the system registers it as being the next food to be eaten.

If you actually eat the stat enhancing food, the stats will no longer be in effect. To avoid losing the stat enhancing food and its effects youll need to force feed yourself other foods by right clicking them.

For details concerning how long various foods last so that youll know when to force feed youself, check the food duration thread by using the following link:

Best of luck with your baking. And don’t forget the most important thing for any baker to remember; have fun with it.

As an INT caster, or a WIS caster, for the best bang for the buck, you actually want +MANA items when it comes to fighting gear at lower levels. It's not until later levels that having +INT or +WIS gets to be a better deal than +MANA items. Likely, at higher levels you won't be wearing much of anything that you got at very low levels anyway.

The case of a tradeskiller is a bit different however, for those you really do want your INT or WIS to be as high as you can reasonably get the appropriate one.

                  One definite piece of advice:

Get a Stein of Moggok when you can afford one. It has +10 Int, and at lvl 49, I'm still using it.

Don't know what server you're on, but on The Rathe, they go for about 150pp.

Right now, I'd say go the Bazaar and get the best rings, earrings and robe with Int that you can afford.
