  • Detailed skilling up data, 207 -> 250.

    OOC.

Well, I decided, what the heck, let's do it on Misty Thicket Picnics. At level 65, with 300 WIS (my current cap), and using the Baking Geerlok, the data in terms of the number of combines needed to get each point above 207 was as follows:

    207 (START)
    208 - 60
    209 - 45
    210 - 10
    211 - 54
    212 - 15
    213 - 1
    214 - 39
    215 - 66
    216 - 22
    217 - 19
    218 - 20
    219 - 1
    220 - 12
    221 - 54
    222 - 11
    223 - 4
    224 - 24
    225 - 118
    226 - 48
    227 - 34
    228 - 31
    229 - 1
    230 - 27
    231 - 52
    232 - 14
    233 - 18
    234 - 37
    235 - 80
    236 - 51
    237 - 20
    238 - 56
    239 - 9
    240 - 7
    241 - 8
    242 - 21
    243 - 45
    244 - 28
    245 - 3
    246 - 6
    247 - 14
    248 - 6
    249 - 26
    250 - 49

    TOTAL - 1266 final combines for 43 points (av 29.4 combines/point)

    Note that:

    207-238: 1044 combines for 31 points (33.7 combines/point) for the most part.
    238-250: 222 combines for 12 points (18.5 combines/point) at the end

Make of these as you will.

Well, I made that post six months ago. This weekend, I raised Baking on my magician (Suzanna, Mage 65) from 204 to 250. She was using the geerlok too, but unlike Felishanna when she was limited to 300 WIS, Suzanna had 355 INT for this.

From 204 to 250 took 1299 skill-up combines on MTPs. That is an average of 28.2 combines/point.

Not significantly better considering an extra 55 points in the primary skill-affecting stat, it seems.

at 255 i averaged around 40 from my own calculations. it speed up remarkably at 242 though. seems a bigger benefit from getting to 300 over 255 than 355 over 300. only 1 sample though so not statically good at all.

She was using the geerlok too,
You mentioned the geerlok in both your posts. The geerloks have no affect on your skilling up, just on your successes.

Sorry if I'm stating something that you already knew (but more for people just reading this that aren't aware of it.)

                geerlock

Geerlocks are great for MTP, bad for Solstice robes when skilling

                  My skillups from 200 - 250 on mtp's.

With only 137 wisdom it took 1000 combines from 200 - 214 or 71 combines per skill up.

I then heeded the advice given here and raised my wisdom to 200. The skill ups came much faster. I needed 1121 from 214-250 or 31 combines per skill up...
