    Camisa’s Guide to Baking

Do you want to be a master baker? You want to make cultural meats (yum yum)
Or heck do you want some uber stat food!
Well whatever the reason here’s a guide for baking. 0-250
I’ll start you off with precombines for later combines in baking
    Now here are my recommendations….
Get some Opal Encrusted steins the extra 50 charisma will make your trips to the alchemy (yes you heard me alchemy vendor) cheaper.
Have a twink or be a forager yourself.
Foraging helps a lot and being able to farm certain meats can help.
Have lots of bank space 
Jaggedpine faction on you or a twink

    Clumps of Dough
    Skills 0-17
Any Egg (the best is to farm basilisk eggs in Lavastorm)
    Flour
    Milk
    In a mixing bowl.
    Save this stuff
    With Basilisk yield 15

    Cream
    Skills 18- 83
    2 milk
Benzoin (bought at a local alchemy vendor)
    Dairy spoon (smithed)
    In a mixing bowl.
    Save this stuff
    Yield 8

    Fillet of lion and bear
    Skills 84-143
Lion or bear meat (shadowhaven sells this)
    Fillet knife (smithed)
    In a Oven or Spit
    Save this stuff
    Yield 1

    Lion/Bear Fillet in cream
    Skills 145-152
    Fillet of Lion/Bear
    Creamy Fennel Sauce
    -Cream
    -Fennel (alchemy vendor)
    -Flour
    -In a Mixing Bowl.
    In a Spit/Oven
    Save this stuff
    Yield 1

    Patty melts
    Skills 153-191
    Bear/Lion meat
    Cheese (Jaggedpine)
    Loaf of Bread
    Non stick frying pan (smithed)
    In a Spit/oven.
    Sell this
Okay now you’ve gotten through the stuff you get off vendors here’s where it gets tough
    Yield 1

    Ohabah truffles
    Skills 192-202
    Mushrooms (foraged)
    Dark Chocolate Crème
    -Cream
    -Frosting
    -Brown Algae (sold in CS)
    -Eucalyptus Leaf (alchemy)
    -In a Mixing Bowl
    Frosting
    In a Spit/ oven
    Sell this to people!
    Yield 4

    Halas 10lb meat pie
    Skills 203-226
    Lion Fillet in Cream sauce
    Bear Fillet in Cream sauce
    Wolf fillet in Cream sauce
    Mammoth fillet in Cream sauce
    2 Clumps of Dough
    Sage leaf (alchemy vendor)
    Pie tin
    In a Oven.
    Sell this to people!
    Yield 6 GIANT
    OR
If you have access to Plane of Storms
    Breaded storm salmon
    Skill 203-215
Storm Salmon (fished in plane of storms)
Bread crumbs (Foraged in plane of justice)
    Jug of Sauces
    Garnish
    Sell this
    Yield 1

Okay now you’ll be spending time in jaggedpine forest

    Griffon/Anaconda melt
    Skills 227-250
Griffon/Anaconda meat (farm it or buy it off vendors in JP plenty of people sell it to them)
    Cheese
    Loaf of Bread
    Non Stick frying pan

When I did the melts I a 54 druid buffed the people hunting them and hunted the griffons and anacondas for exp.
They gave me all the meat no problem and I found plenty of it on vendors.
Of course if you don’t have faction just make a human druid twink that starts in surefall glade and have them get all you need in jaggedpine. Also Basilisk eggs sometimes appear on jaggedpine vendors from people if that’s a hint on another good place to get them.

This guide is to take you to 250 not to get you to whatever skill you need for the Blessed Coldain prayer Shawl quest and such. You could still use it for that quest but it wouldn’t be the fastest and cheapest route.

If you wanted to do the blessed coldain prayer shawl quest here’s the guide for the skill to do it

    Bear Steak
    Skills 0-41
    Bear Meat (shadowhaven)
    Spices
    Jug of sauces
    In a spit/oven

    Fillet of lion and bear
Skills 42-143 bear meat (shadowhaven sells this)
    Fillet knife (smithed)
    In a Oven or Spit
Once your 143 you’re set to go for the coldain prayer shawl.

Thanks for laying everything out like you have. It’s always useful for anyone skilling up to see a path laid out for them. When my druid first started baking we didn’t have things like fillets or patty melts, but my newer characters have followed almost the exact path you have posted. The only exception I might make is from 227 to 250.

Thus far I’ve only taken baking to 226, via Halas Pies, and I’ve yet to make Misty Picnics, but I would still recommend picnics over Griffon/Anaconda Melts. The melts are much easier to make and if you get your hands on the meat then by all means use it. However, it’s been my experience that the pieces of meat are few and far between, even for druids and rangers. Both my druid and my ranger spent a lot of time leveling in Jaggedpine, killing both the griffons and the anaconda. And my druid would use whatever meat they looted for combines at the end of the day, along with the plant shoots. But the meat dose not drop all that often. I wouldn’t call it rare, but it was certainly infrequent. And I would check the vendors both when I arrived in JP and when I left. Once in a great while I would find two or three pieces of meat, possibly even some plant shoots, but usually they were devoid of anything I could use for combines.

The availability of meat from vendors is likely to vary from sever to server and even from person to person searching, but that was my experience. Misty Picnics are much harder to make, but almost everything is store bought and the little that isn’t is much easier to come by in useful quantities. So if you are in any kind of hurry to grand master baking, then I feel picnics are the way to go. But if you’re not in a hurry and simply want to combine items as you go along then Griffon/Anaconda Melts, and Cheesy Vegetable Casserole, are excellent options when you happen to find the meat and plant shoots.

I myself didnt follow that path I did baking when it wasn't heard of becoming 250 I did the fish rolls then the pies then the cakes and yes I farmed all those lousy brownie parts. As soon as Luclin came out I was baking up a storm then soon jaggedpine came out and I explored there and used that insted of MTP to become 250. I had a pretty easy time doing Meats and so did my friends on my server Imagine it's just a server thing but I got sick of combining 100 MTP for a skillup. With a stack of meat I got around 3 skillups max wisdom.....so seemed like the best route when i could get 4-5 stacks of meat a day

Yes I thought to use griffon or anaconda melts for skill ups (I am at 194) but have NEVER found griffon or Anaconda meat on the JFP vendors. Must be different on your server. Sal
