I searched the database for Freshly Cleaned Vegetables, which are purchasable from the PoK Vendor named Perago Crotal (the Shaman looking guy near the brew barrel). They are not in the EQTraders db, but Allakhazams shows them http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=16338
(but shows no known use). I find it odd that this guy was given this item but there isn't anything to do with it. Having said that, I know there are lots of mystery items in the game, what struck me as weird is that it is a vendor item, not a dropped or foraged item.
[Actually it came up when i was talking to someone about the lack of logic in the game, and I joking asked why I couldn't wash the vegetables I forage or rub some dirt on the ones sold in the PoK and use them in all my favority non-cleaned recipes.]
I searched the forum database and the only mention of this item is in a thread on food and drink durations.
So, forgive me is this has been discussed, but has anyone ever done something like take all the known uses of vegetables and try using the freshly cleaned ones and see if they work? Did someone ever just experiment the heck out of these? Or is this an unknown because it is an untried. And if so, does anyone want to develop a research agenda with me to see if these are substitutes for vegetables in anything?
As it is, I have 3 or 4 stacks of foraged vegetables I am slowly saving for the day my next rbaking ecipe needs these. But if I can just buy them, I'll make Ginesh in a brew barrel with them instead.
Thanks for any help,
