Vah Shir Meats

I have personally become addicted to the illusion potions, and you shamans are making quite a bit off me : ) Luckily I have a shaman friend that helps me out if I can get the parts.

I found the hoppers in Shadweaver's that drops the Vah Shir meat, but the drop rate on them is insanely low. There has to be other places to accquire these meats, if anyone has found them PLEASE post them. I will personally continue to search and see if I can find any that drop off mobs that dont destroy your faction as well...

Unless it is an very recent change that I wasn't informed about, no, there's no other spot. Just like there's only one mob that drops the barbarian meat, and a couple others are extremely rare as well. These were set up this way when LoY was released.

If people would pay a decent price for them there might be more available on the market.

I had the for 50pp for a week

I marked them down to 25pp for a week

I marked them down to 10pp for another week

I finally put 5pp on them and they sold in 5 minutes.

I don't farm them anymore and I doubt anyone else will. The cost/time relationship is just not there.

You really took a beating then on your illusions, I cant buy them any
cheaper than 83p plus the meat i have to farm? Is there some secret to getting it cheaper?

I think Catty was refering to the meat, not the finished potion. No one would sell a finished illusion potion for 5p. Theyd use it themselves first. =)

Check the 2 vendors in Shadeweavers in the building near the bank. I occasionally find vah shir meat there, as well as chitterling barbs and darkclaw claws for tinkering geerloks.

Could you kindly share WHICH hopper that might be? I spent a couple of hours testing various hoppers but remembered it was rather rare, therefore I could try all of the hoppers for sometime before coming across the right one. Of course, this is the heart of an explorer, a pioneer..but I'll sacrifice a bit of my adventurers spirit as I'm assisting a friend in collecting these meats.

Per the Racial Meat Drops Guide it's the Firefall Saureks. I've never seen em myself, is that specific enough?

The Firefall Saureks are in the Western half of the zone. You have to go thru a tunnel to get to that side. They are red in color.

The short time i was hunting them i got a 1/5 droprate or so.
Youre mileage may vary.
