  • Better place for racial meats??

So far I find the best assortment of meats is outside the fort at those little huts in the cave in Gunthak. But it is a slow and painful process killing those greenies and im lvl 63 shm.

Is there a better place for getting parts/meats?

Im especially interested in quantities of gnome and Dark elf parts.

    Thanks for any tips.

    Dulak is fun.

It will still be green to you, but there are semi-decent drops.

For sheer ease, if you are a good(Barbarian) shaman, Kill Dark Elf guards in Nektulos.

If your are evil (Iksar, Ogre, Troll) kill gnome guards for their parts.

If you are a frog or cat, then stick to LoY.

I would agree with the post on dulak. If you can get one of the ships there are blue diamonds and various other jems mixed in amongst the meats. Have to be careful though as there are cleric mobs that can be a real pain in the arse.

you know, i have tried to make the high elf flesh one, but it would not combine. The high Elf Flesh was listed edible. I bought it in the bazaar, are there 2 kinds?

Generally I don't recall the meats or parts being edible. I think you may have gotten the wrong item. I haven't really gotten hold of a high elf piece but I would think it would be high elf parts or high elf meat, not flesh.

There are indeed two kinds of high elf meats: flesh and something else, probably "meat". Thanks for the note about the DNC on flesh, I'll get that noted on the site.

But sorry you wasted your money. Not sure what, if anything, the high elf flesh is for.

Some uses for High Elf and Human flesh

There is a quest in Oggok Feeding Dooga that uses them. Not sure where to get it now that Innothule Swamp has been revamped. You used to be able to hunt nobles there, maybe in the Rathe Mtns.

The correct name is "High elf parts". I expect it drops somewhere in the new LoY zones, but I have no confirmation. The two I have found so far came from vendor-diving.

                        Question?

Do you have to have LoY to be able to do these new Alchemy potions. Or are these new racial meats used for other things besides Alchemy? I am not able to get to any of the EQ info sites at work, just the boards. So clue me in if you can.

Unlike the focus effect potions, the one component that is vendor-sold only in Gunthak (wormwood) is tradeable. So, theoretically, you could have someone pick up wormwood for you in order to make these.

Some of the racial meats have long been used for baking, and are the reason we had a racial drops guide already in place when LoY came out. We've since modified that guide to include the new meats as well.

                            new racial meat page?

Is there a new racial meat page, or is everything accessed now thru the db?

They are now included with the vendor ingredients in the Alchemy Supplies page.
