  • What do you want to see?

I've started doing some clean up on the Learn Alchemy Page/Subpages. So far I've:

    - Made minor adjustments to FAQ
    - Made minor adjustments to Getting Started
    - Made big updates to Tools and Accessories
    - Removed Alchemy Dropped Ingredient Locations (everything was from prior to revamp)
    - Removed Alchemy Potion Stacking (again, was prior to revamp and as it was didn't make any sense. If someone wants to provide an understandable matrix, I'm happy to repost it
    - Revamped the Price List
    - Added a Guide to Mastery (taken partially from Drazzminius' Guide 6.0)
    - Added a Hey What's that Potion Do (taken partially from the stickied "Potion List" in this forum (I added a few of the new things to it)

I haven't done anything yet with the racial meat page, the dye page, the brief history page or the herb vendor page.

I thought I'd try to throw a page in with the updated information on the newbie quests and maybe an updated page on the trophy quests (taken from what's already out there and updated if necessary). Any other suggestions people think would be good to add in the Learn Alchemy page(s)?

My shaman was born only a couple of weeks ago to a crafting family. Of course the shaman must become proficient in alchemy. But we are a frugal bunch. We started with the skinspikes recipe recommended and are proceeding only as we use the potions.

I looked at the Alchemy section you reworked. Great job!

As i looked at the list of potion offerings I hit upon the Slime option. Shaman do not snare, so this looks like a possible addition to the armamentarium of the shaman and maybe others in the family. The problem with my plan as I foresee it: The mobs would laugh at the level of Slime we throw at them (resist).

Here is a suggestion..... add a calculation of cost or range of costs (because of levels) of merchant materials. This sounds like a massive amount of calculation but would be helpful, I think. Knowing the cost would help determine if the Slime potions should be added to the training and use of the Shaman.

Thanks for the suggestion Paloverde If anyone wants to help calculate the costs of more than the few potions I put on this page, post them here and I am more than happy to add them to the page!

I've personally leveled 4 shaman in alchemy to date and am working on a 5th...sounds weird I know - the first 4 were for different friends and my husband's shaman...they've all quit so now I need/want my OWN shaman I've always gone the skinspikes route as high as I can because I can always use those potions and or sell them - usually for at least some profit depending on how the prices in the bazaar are doing that day. Also I tested the Hearty Goblin Blood farm rate in Temple of Droga this past weekend and managed to rack up a stack of 20 in a little over an hour...not too bad. Nice bits of plat too - probably a couple k pp after all was said and done (hard to tell, boxing 87 dru and 87 bard - autosplit on, two sets of inventory to liquidate afterwards etc )
