Help with old trophy please

I apparently have an old trophy on the shammy I am using. It is not the evolving one and is stuck at 12%. How do I trade it in for the evolving one? I have tried the quest giver and judge in Freeport. I can't get a quest because I have a trophy. The judge is not interested in what I have. Can anyone help?

The old trophies are all 5%. Are you sure you haven't maxed out your current trophy for your skill level? A 12%er will not start evolving again until you hit 300.

I am maxed at 300 and the skill mod is 12% (even AA's are done.) I've done well over 1200 combines at 12%. Where all my other trophies have....example "Evolving: level 6/7 78% Final result"....this trophy has nothing. When I equip, it also does not show up on the tab where you turn on/off the evolve function so it does NOT appear to be an evolving item like all my other trophies on all my toons. All I can think is that I have an old trophy??? It was not originally my shammy and the owner still plays some but I have been trying to max the trophy.

I am at a loss, then. There is only one 12% Alchemy item and it definitely should be evolving.

Not sure how it works because I've never done it, but are you sure that the evolution isn't turned off?

By any chance, did you ever petition (due to missing item, failed quest, etc.) to get this trophy? If so, the GM might have given you one that cannot evolve. In this case, I think you'd have to petition again to get the original unevolved trophy and a certificate to evolve it.

Or I may be completely barking up the wrong tree.

I did go ahead and petition today. I was going to post a screenshot but I guess I've not posted enough messages lately to be able to add a picture. You are likely on to something there Twistagain because it is definitely not an evolving item. As I mentioned, I am just a guest using this shammy. I talked with the owner today who still plays on occasion and he remembers doing the quest to get the trophy.

On your inventory window there is a tab for evolving items and you can turn them on and off there. If you have an evolving item, it will show up there. The trophy does not show up. On all of my other toons I have the evolving info and it shows up in this window.

Well it was the wrong item or "bugged" I guess and has now been replaced by the GM. I wish I had petitioned sooner and noticed it a little faster as well. Oh well.....
