Newb question, no doubt

Hello all. I am trying to complete the jouneyman alchemy trophy quest. got everthing done except the Feline VII potion. I have all the ingredients, but get an error that it can not be combined in "medicine bag". Ally and EQ recipes both state that it can be combined in a regular bag. What am I doing wrong?

It's frustrating to be that close and still fail.
BTW My ts is at 203 and I'm level 25.

What exactly are are you using to make this combine? just to make sure you are using the correct recipe.

I have tried it two ways.

3 birthwort
1 dragonwort
1 duskglow vine
1 smooth potion vial

I tried it with heartygoblin blood
I tried it with goblin blood

That appears to be right (with the Hearty Goblin Blood). Couple of questions:

1) Did you have the birthwort stacked or unstacked? (I assume unstacked, but just checking.)
2) What is the exact message you are getting? Is it "Those items cannot be combined in this container." or something like that? Or a different message?

Thanks N. I have tried those exact ingredients time after time. Still not working. My petition was answered (if you could call it that) They told me that my skill level was not high enough to complete the combine for Elixir of the Feline. (Currently at 203)

Did they tell me what it needed to be? Of course not. Is it posted anywhere that this particular combine is TS skill restricted? Of course not. So I go blindly forward skilling up slowly and retrying the combine as I go. It would be SO nice to know what I'm working towards.

Hmm.... that still doesn't explain the error message of not being able to combine them in that bag. Weird. I didn't think there were any potions that you had to be a certain skill to combine, but I could be wrong.

Whenever this happens to me I usually end up discovering I had tried using the wrong type of the correct ingredient. In this case the offender would likely be the Birthwort. Make sure you're using "Birthwort" rather than "Birthwort Leaf", "Bundle of Birthwort" or "Sprig of Birthwort".

Also some herbs are spelled similarly and have the same icon. Double check you are actually using the proper ingredients.

Make sure you are using the Hearty Goblin Blood, not the Goblin Blood

Make sure you don't have anything else in the container (rat whiskers used to be infamous for this)

Make sure you are using your Medicine Bag. If not, try the Reinforced Medicine Bag (which really isn't that hard to obtain, just kill bears until you find the Thick Grizzly Bear Skin, and combine with a Silk Cord (3X silk threads, which is 2X spiderLING silk), trivs in the 60's so you shouldn't have much to do to get it. Or find one in the Bazaar.

Tiroon you are my hero of the day. I had birthwort LEAF. OMG Thank you and also thanks to all who offered ideas. My bad was not double checking the item and triple checking it when combine failed.
