  • Is there a Success rate cap on OoW augs?

Many apologies if this is in the FAQ somewhere, but I did search here and on the main site and can't see an answer.

    My question is:

is there a success rate cap on making the OoW augs as there is with DoN tailoring and smithing?

My shaman has 300+15% trophy, Alchemy Mastery 3 and Salvage 1 -- the question is, is it worth the effort trying to find someone else to do the combines for a Radiant Kyanite of Pure Haste?

Unfortunately yes. I believe the success cap is at something like 70%, although people may have figured it out a bit better recently. Depending on how you feel about the possibility of failing, you may wish to seek out a shaman with salvage 3 (just for the chance of recovering expensive bits in the case of a failure), but thats up to you.

Ironically enough, I've succeeded in creating minor augs of the celestine, apatite, etc. variant every time, but have failed every time on the slugworm minor combines. Rather frustrating, although I am getting the better augs cheaper than the cost of slugworms. Just woul be nice to succeed once in a while.
