thanx did the SoW potions to 210.....though the other one u mentioned has a lot of subcombines for one of the ingredients....anything u know of that is all vendor bought and not horribly expensive? thanx again

Not really but all components for the second one is all vendor bought I reasearched it and not much else out thereRecipes - Alchemyis your best bet to locate more...but unless I missed some I think 248 is it with only vendor bought even if you have to make subcombines.

the thing is once you're getting into the higher alchemy levels, farming and foraging become essential. personally, once i was able to make the X pots (elixir, clarity, etc), i used those to take me to 300 and also max out my trophy. granted i'm totally sick and tired of sebelis now and don't want to see a nodding blue lilly for a little bit, but i don't think it gets any cheaper than those things.

Basic Suspension of Slime 7 trivs at 228, not 248. Formed Suspension of Slime 7 trivs at 231.

Regarding the remark about subcombines needed, you have to make your own vials. For the basic, the vial trivial (pottery) is 18, and they are super cheap to make (2 combines, yield 3 on the firing), so really it's not that bad. Certainly better than farming or paying tons for stuff in the bazaar.

                And now I will <sit> corrected .....

The vials for the basic susp of slime 7 triv at 58, and for the formed suspension (triv at 231), the vials triv in the low 60s. I was able to go from 209-228 in 357 combines of the basics.

Success rate on the vials was 99+% (126/127) with my main, whose pottery skill is 240+. I thought success rates were capped at 95%? Or did I just get really lucky?

+1% to the cap for every 40 skill over trivial.... so you should have been in 99% teritory and then you were lucky on top

I just can' stand people like that, so sorry in advance..

First, people from EQtrader site made a great website, with lot's of data.. there's something called quick trivial list.. no kidding, just check it if you want to skill up..

2nd, people are nice enough to answer you, and yet.. you have to make vials with pottery that yield 3.. (made 100 in like 15 mins) BUT nah you want something with no sub combines.. (if you refer to first point, and trivial list, you will notice it's that or you go farm..)

3rd, quit it already, farm money, and buy from tradeskillers, you don't look like you can hit 300 a day..

PS : 4th.. saying Need this, PLZ read.. well, at least it was not in CAPS

                        Negreth -- I have a fast question:

+1% to the cap for every 40 skill over trivial.... so you should have been in 99% teritory and then you were lucky on top
I had heard about this change. And it seems very logical that we would get better and better at lower trivial recipes as our skill rises.

But, is it possible to hit NO FAIL? I was in Abysmal, my nice quiet hideout for tradeskilling, when I was combining a few stacks of Philter of Major Translocation. Holding my Mundunugu Medicine Stick, I ended up failing 2 combines out of 40 potions.

                        My (modified) skill = 345
                        Triv = 131

A difference of 214.... which if every 40 skill points increases my chance by 1 percent over the 95% cap, should be 100%, right?

Just wondering if I have misinterpretted the information or if there is some other problem.

                          Unmodified skill is what counts.

                            Is that true??

What is the point of having the skill modified if it doesn't affect your chance of success??

                              unmodified skill

and why? because there are trivials in the 350's even 400's

it still ajusts your chance to SUCCEDE, it just does not adjust your CAP on success.
