  • Practical Applications: Immunization

So, I have a question that perhaps some of you can answer. And if not, well then I'll just have to practice dotting myself a bit!

Distillate of Immunization IV -- Level 15
    vs.
    Distillate of Immunization X -- Level 65

Both potions cure 44 counters (4 cure attempts, 11 counters each).
I know that a level 20 player could drink the IV but not the X.

However, is there any reason that a L70 player would not simply pay to have the Distillate of Immunization IV potions made instead of collecting the shards of ro for the X? As best I can tell, they cure an equal number of counters... is there another dimension I'm missing such as say... the IV potion would only cure spells cast by a L15 or under NPC?

    Thanks,

The potions themselves control the casting level now. So a level 70 using an immunization IV potion will not get 44 counters removed. Instead the potion will remove 16 counters as if it had been cast by lower level player.

You can test this out fairly easily with the stat/resist potions. The all appear to cast the same spell but give more bonuses the higher level the potion. Same is true with the SoW potions, a person using the level V SoW will run faster than the person using a level I.
